This restaurant is a very homely experience. Very friendly service, and the staff interactions with all their customers was excellent. The food was certainly scrumptious! I ordered the kicker hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese and it came with sweet water cornbread. My soul needed this food. And the plate it came on was super cute!
I came to this place on a recommendation and am glad I listened. I certainly recommend this place to anyone else looking to eat somewhere in Carthage!

Amazing food, service, atmosphere, and prices. We visited this cafe during our trip to Carthage while we were checking out the town. We have hopes of moving there in the future. Our waitress was sweet and attentive, the food was delicious, and we only paid $19 for breakfast and coffee for two. The atmosphere was warm and loving, which really gave us a feel of the type of people who live in this community. The Bible scriptures on the napkin dispensers was a nice touch that blessed us greatly! We pray blessings over your business in Jesus name.

I loved this little place. If you want home cooking away from home, this is the place. Fast friendly service and the food was really good. My entire meal came to $15.00. Great value!! I highly recommend the chicken fried steak!

Small place that seems like a local favorite! The staff was amazing, the food was very cafe style. It was great for a lunch stop. The only negative I found was trying to find a table and we ordered water to drink and found quickly it was tap and tasted odd. Just should’ve changed drinks. Other than that it was great.

Just passing through and saw the great reviews. Of course we had to stop in. My husband said it was the best cornbread he ever had. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel like you’re a local.

This is a hidden gem! We were in town visiting our son that goes to college in Carthage, and wanted to go to dinner at a local restaurant. This one was perfect! We loved the hometown feel. The food was incredible and large portions. It took a while to get our food, but that was fine with us as we wanted the time to chat with our son anyway.
My husband ordered the ribeye, lemon pepper asparagus, a side salad, and hot water cornbread. He was it was very good! We had never heard of hot water cornbread before and it was phenomenal. Highly recommend it. The salad bar is extensive and he loved how many options there were to build his own salad.
I ordered from their keto menu, which is extensive. It was so refreshing to see a restaurant that actually has a full keto menu. I ordered the smothered hamburger steak, loaded cauliflower and parmesean zucchini. It was SO good!!
Our son ordered the chicken fried steak with onion rings and corn. He’s an athlete that can put down some food and he couldn’t even finish it due to how much was on his plate. He wanted to though because it was so delicious.
All in all, we rate this restaurant a 100 out of a 10. Very very good!!! We will eat here again, when we’re in town, for sure!
