This place definitely isn’t it. Especially if you are doing the arcade. You get all of the tokens and then there is nobody working the area to cash them in. You go and look for an employee and they are assigned tasks on the floor. So you can’t cash your tokens in. The food was fine. Above average for bowling alley food. Definitely will not be back due to mismanagement.

I normally dont like leaving bad reviews but I was just so bummed about our experience…. Especially being in from out of town wanting to have a fun day with my nieces and nephews
1. Get there around 11:30 on Tuesday 12/30. One guy working the counter and also the restaurant… we decide to put ourselves in the wait list so we can have two lanes next to each other since we had a family group (9 people) … no big deal will get food first
2. We weren’t provided menus so we had to find our own…30 secs later, the guy came to take our order and had to come back since we didn’t have a chance to look at the food items. Put in our order at 11:45 …. Get our lane notification 12:30… no food still ( they were going to bring our food to the lane , great no big deal ! ) some food comes 12:45 … only a chicken sandwich , the side of brusselsprouts ( but not the burger that goes with it) and side of fries just random ( none of the 3 kids menu items untill 1) two burgers come out 10 min apart …chicken finger didn’t come till 1:45 once our hour of bowling was done ( even asked them 3 separate times reminding them we were missing them ) for being winter break and kids off there seemed there was enough staff and it wasn’t crazy busy so I’m not sure what the breakdown was…( I don’t mind waiting for food but 2 hours is a little ridiculous ) never even got the children’s water cup we asked for a couple times either ..
3. That wasn’t even the biggest bummer we waited to get Lanes next to each other and the lane they put us in had a wall/ big pillar separating us so that was a bummer to the experience and ruined the mood of wanting to be together. (See picture)
4. The lanes are horrible if your an actual bowler – not sure they even oil them – so if your coming with kids and uses bumpers totally fine, if you are a bowler – find a real bowling alley .

First time visiting, bright, lively place with tons of games & activities for kids of all ages. Interesting menu with varieties of familiar comfort food. Kind of pricey but what isn’t these days. The staff was great, quickly resolved scheduling conflicts, keep everyone happy & the party festive. For the adults, a well stocked bar!

Went bowling last night for a friend’s birthday with a group of 12. The lanes we were assigned had a giant pillar in between the two lines which made interacting with everyone very difficult. We asked the staff if we could move to the two lanes at the end where there was no pillar. They said no because they had other reservations. Throughout our two hours of bowling, no other groups showed up to use those lanes. It took 25-30 minutes for a server to come. We ordered drinks at the bar because it was faster. The kitchen was clearly very backed up. It took almost an hour to get our appetizers. We tried to order a pizza & the server said it would take a long time so we decided not to get it. I’m assuming this was a normal Saturday night for the kitchen so I’m not sure what the issue was. Servers & bartenders seemed overwhelmed so I tried not to make a big deal about it. Overall, my friend enjoyed bowling with everyone but I was not happy with the experience. Probably will not return to this location.

Took my kids there for the arcade. Half the games don’t even work. No signs or communication, so when you swipe your play card, a lot of them take the credits but don’t work. And the ones that do work, don’t work properly (racing games). I know these are expensive games, and can’t imagine the maintenance and upkeep needed…but if you are an arcade, at least have signs on the ones that aren’t working. For example, the Buck Hunter game had 35 credits on it but neither side worked. Steering wheels on some of the racing games are barely hanging on. Spent $120 on game cards and it was like a slot machine hoping it worked after taking your credit. Definitely not worth the prices. Kids had much more fun for $20 an hour at Galloping Ghost in Brookfield and Underground Arcade in West Dundee. Do better.

We came to The Main Event on Black Friday and were originally told the wait for a bowling lane would be about an hour and a half. Instead, we ended up waiting almost 3 hours, even though the building wasn’t extremely busy. While waiting, we ordered food — pizza, wings, and mac & cheese. The pizza took nearly 50 minutes, the wings came out cold, and the mac & cheese didn’t come out for almost 3 hours. We had to ask several times before a manager finally went to the back to get it for us.

But here’s where everything turned around: Manager Ryan.

Ryan came over, apologized sincerely for the long wait, and took full accountability. He made sure the rest of our night went smoothly. He waived the cost of all of our bowling shoes for our group of 10 and even gave us two free game cards for a future visit. From that moment forward, he checked on us repeatedly and made sure we were taken care of.

Because of Ryan, what started off as a frustrating experience ended up being a great night. His customer service was top-notch, and he truly made the difference.

I appreciate managers who step in, handle situations with grace, and make things right.
Thank you, Ryan — you turned our night around.

Great atmosphere with some good food and good service. There are big screen televisions everywhere with a great bowling alley, pool tables, laser tag, arcade games, and a great bar. There are plenty of tables and booths where people can eat and have fun. This is a place where a good birthday party for children and adults that can take place. It is next to the Cinemark movie theater as well, so you can go here before and after a movie because they close at 2 A.M.

We have had 3 bday parties here and twice we have came just to play and hang for a couple hours. Two completely different experiences. For parties it’s a go!!! They are amazing. We’ve always had amazing host
They literally took care of everything for me. It really was a 10 out of 10 from the food, service and activities. I was literally able to hang at the bar while they ran my kids entire party. I’ve never had service like that anywhere else. NOW if you’re coming to just hang or on a deal day. It is straight trash and it pains me to say that. Arcade games just take your money, the 2 activities they did have were spaced out by 2 hours. That would be fine if we could eat during that time. But we spent those 2 hours looking for our food. We spoke to 5 different workers and no one could tell me where my food was. Finally it was found and I got it, cold of course. I even saw a mom just leave and bring happy meals for all the kids she had. The employees are really trying for what they have. It’s not their fault. Just save your money and go somewhere else. I really tried to like this place
