First off, the food was great and consistent as always. Never disappointed by the quality and taste. The staff didn’t smile much if any, just doing their job and that’s okay. But running a little slow. Probably the fries and onion rings, so be it.

We had never heard of this food establishment before and decided to go through the drive thru since the kids wanted hot dogs. We were not aware that the loose meat is what they are known for, so we will try again and update the review! But we got the corn dog with onion rings, and two kids baskets with hot dogs. For the price of the single corn dog I was expecting a larger corn dog. I was not very impressed – just seemed like a corn dog I could get from the freezer section of the grocery store. The onion rings were good but a little heavy on the grease. The kids seemed to like the hot dogs fine but none of us cared for the fries. They weren’t very crispy and could have used a bit more salt. Once again, we didn’t know that the loose burgers were what they are known for so I will try again and update my review. The staff however was very nice and it did not take very long to get our food.

I ordered delivery by DD. My order included Mega-rite with onion rings. I paid $1.50 extra to get them. I only received “5” onion rings for that price.☹️. The better deal would be to select the fries and buy the onion rings separately. Hopefully you will get more than 5 on a full order. The rings were good in flavor, just not enough for the extra cost as a add-on. Mega-rite was very good. In the future, I will ask for the bun on the side. Because the bun was soaked in grease and the paper wrapper was too. It fell apart. No ketchup packet for rite or rings.

Service was great! The gentleman who took our order was delightful! He was also concerned we ordered too much food, we impressed him by eating it all:) Clean place. Tasty onion rings, burgers, and creamy coleslaw. Our first loose meat sandwich, we liked it. Jalapeno was the best at our table in my opinion. We would pass on the fries next time. Was great to try a local classic while passing through. Thanks!

Went in on a Sunday afternoon had to ring the bell to get the kid behind the counter off his cellphone three feet away to even take our order. Food was room temp and the flavor lacking, the dining room needed cleaning. After eating there and the attitude the staff had we will not be back. This location is NOT handicap accessible or friendly.

We love Maid Rites and can’t get them at home. While this was definitely a special treat the service was slow and the prices a bit too much for a “loose meat” sandwich. Definitely worth a try if you haven’t had one or haven’t had one in a long time.

Caught this place just driving through and we’re glad we did. The nice lady at the register gave us some great suggestions since it was our first time getting to try a maid-rite. Ended up going with the maid right with cheese with all of the traditional toppings on how they were made and some onion rings. She brought us some of the dipping sauce for the onion rings which was fantastic. The maid rite hit the spot and was excellent. Onion rings were crispy and flavorful. Service was fast and very friendly. Dining room was clean and all of the food was great. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone stopping through Iowa.
