If you are looking for great authentic thai food at a good price, Mai Thai II can do that for you. The food, truly, is the best Thai food in the Charlotte area. Ive been a patron there for 5 years and the food is always so savory and fresh. The owner is very personable and strives to make sure you are satisfied with your order. I have a gluten intolerance and she always provides options for me without losing flavor.

So disappointed. The food is very underwhelming. The basil fried rice is gummy and a weird texture, like rice pudding (yuck). It tasted like nothing. It was worse warmed up the next day, I couldn’t eat it. The green curry was better and the texture of the white rice on the side is better than the fried rice. I wanted to love this place. I like Thai food and I live nearby. But, I probably won’t be back.

The staff member I spoke to on the phone was very knowledgeable of menu allergens and made me feel confident in the care that would be taken with our order. I was highly surprised but pleased to find our pineapple fried rice came in half a pineapple even though we ordered our food through Uber Eats. And man was it good! Possibly the best fried rice I’ve ever had! I only wish I lived here to enjoy it more often, but it is on my list of places to visit, next time I’m back in the city. Thank you for an amazing dinner!!

The food was amazing. Ginger wings and fresh rolls for appetizers. Oh and the crab Rangoon stuffed full! Pud See Ew 5 stars. Spicy and delicious. The portions were for a King! The staff is always friendly and helpful!

The staff at Mai Thai II are super nice and quite quick. The atmosphere is definitely local and chill. Great place to have a conversation while eating. The Spicy Basil Noodles with Shrimp was delicious and the correct amount of spicy. The only thing that is keeping me from giving it 5 stars is that the bathrooms were a bit on the dirty side.

Stopped by and had green vegetable curry with a side of fried tofu. Service was terrific, food was exactly what we were craving. My daughter got to try the Thai tea and loved it! We will come back whenever we are in town.

The Yellow Curry was delicious, the spice level being a 3 was right on point. The Basil Rolls was like a delicious salad in a wrap, especially with the plum sauce. The staff was super friendly and helpful!
