Great service, delicious food! We ordered the Tuna special and the Shrimp & Grits; the other couple with us had the Surf & Turf and the Mahi tacos. Everyone was blown away by the quality of the food ~ flavors were on point. The best meal out we’ve had in a long time – it was memorably good. Jody took great care of us – he made sure our drinks were always full and that we were lacking nothing ~ excellent service. Most of the desserts are made in-house so we got the amazingly delicious bread pudding to split and a key lime pie to take with us. We will be back!

First time here, and it certainly wouldn’t be our last — dishes were fresh, and uniquely presented. Honestly, the best Shrimp n’ Grits and Fried Green Tomatoes I’ve had, as those are two go to southern dishes I gravitate towards on most menus! Our server, Melissa was fantastic, and she was great with our 6/8 yr old boys. Honestly can’t say enough good things!

Writing this review as I’m leaving because it was so fantastic I cannot forget to write a review. If you’re thinking about going, GO! Everything was 10/10. We started with fried green tomatoes – insane. Straight off the bat I knew we made the right restaurant choice. The flavors were complex and so well balanced. The fish tacos – best I ever had. The key lime pie – perfect ending. The service was friendly. They are a little understaffed but it’s not their fault. This place is a hidden gem. Fresh ingredients and incredible food.

The service, food, and atmosphere are awesome. The menu is a little pricey, but it is fair for an enjoyable vacation and the quality service you get. Our only regret is that we weren’t hungry enough to try more than 2 dishes. The fish of the day was the rock fish.

AMAZING dinner here with my family tonight. What a great menu and great service by our waitress Anna. Hands down, the best shrimp and grits I have had on the beach. Here’s a sampling of the entrees around the table. Local Facebook friends, check out this new gem. You won’t be disappointed. They plan to stay open in the off season.

Yeah- we are at the beach & found a killer seafood house. Great fish specials posted each day along with other specials.

Very bright & welcoming decor along with hostess & wait staff that were friendly & informative – thank you Ms. Manager!

Fish we ordered – Swordfish – blackened, but presented two different ways. The Sword Entree w/cream sauce, I actually liked with the rice, better than the fish. And tried the other fish – just blackened and loved that. The red cabbage was awesome. Hats off to the chef. Both melas were great!

Seating inside – downstairs & upstairs. Also, outside on patio or in the yard.

Big bar – lots of cocktails, Martini Friday. Beer & wine selection was very nice, but limited craft beers.

Bottom line – come for the fresh fish and enjoy the cuisine. Want a beer, find a brewery or tap house.

We ended up changing plans as a dolphin sightseeing cruise got canceled because of bad weather. So on the way back to the home I thought this looked like a good place and it did not disappoint.

The fried pickles and crab dip were really good however the portion size in the crab dip was a bit small to share with five people it could’ve used more.

The mahi Reuben was very good as was the mahi tacos and shrimp pasta, which had a very good portion and had a little bit of a creole taste to it. Our server Heather was fantastic and kept checking back on us.

They do not take reservations and you just go on the waitlist however you can’t get a drink while you’re waiting. We waited about half an hour to be seated.

A nice nautical atmosphere inside but it is very lively “a bit noisy“ inside. Did not get to do the outdoor seating as it was storming out. The prices were a little high but the food was well worth it. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for seafood. pretty amazing considering they’re only open five hours a day.

From appetizer to dessert, this place was absolutely delicious. My partner had the Mahi Mahi fish and chips. He wouldn’t stop gushing about how perfectly cooked it tasted.

Being vegetarian, it is tricky to find good food on the Outer banks without sea food in it. I ate the sweet potato flatbread, and everything was amazingly balanced.

Drinks are wonderful too if you’re interested in alcohol options. The flavor profiles aren’t overly sweet.

Overall, this is a clean and tasty restaurant. My partner and I already want to plan another trip to the beach partially to eat here again.

Another excellent meal at Mahi Mahi’s! The menu is extensive so you can always find something appetizing and for your hunger level.

I wanted something a bit smaller on this visit so opted for a side caesar and appetizer buffalo shrimp. That was the perfect amount of food and definitely enough for a meal.

Others at the table had the mahi mahi reuben with substituted rice, shrimp & grits, and the cheesesteak with fries. Everyone enjoyed theirs and I must say all had portions on the large side. Definitely a great value!

Oh and let’s not forget the special fried green tomatoes with blackened shrimp. This appetizer was perfection and I’ll be sorely disappointed if it’s not in the menu next visit.

Sizable restaurant and bar with nice outdoor waiting area. It was frigid inside so bring a jacket. Service was friendly and attentive. I can’t wait to return!

Pretty nice shrimp scampi dish. A good size, but not overpowering. Nice array of desserts. Overall, a solid choice for lunch or dinner. Cute outdoor backyard with volleyball and picnic tables. Perfect for an outdoor event.
