It was MLK Day! Monday afternoon. The restaurant was empty with only me and my brother in. They did get a couple of tables towards the end of our dining. As we entered, there was some hesitation between the three servers present as in who would attend us which was so very evident from their behavior since it seemed we interrupted their free time as there was no one present in the restaurant and all three sitting in one of the dining booths. It did take like 15 minutes for one of them to attend us. The food was good. No concerns with the food. The appetizer and the main course was really good. Now that I think, I do not even care how the food was since it is the way my time was not respected at this restaurant which reminds me each time I go grocery shopping at the neighboring grocery store. The one who attended us initially to take the order, did not approach us on me requesting him for the desert menu later. He firmly denied stating someone else would come and attend me. Well it took another 15 minutes to get attention from some other server. Finally after we were done eating, it took 40 minutes for the check to arrive. Yes, 40 minutes, and the check was handed by one of the owners as the servers continued to sit in the same dining booth. My rating is totally based on the service we received and the time we spent. Respecting customer’s time and attending them is a fundamental rule in any customer service environment. These servers should be made aware regarding the sense of putting customers first. All in all more than over two hours in an almost empty restaurant for lunch out of which 20 minutes were spent eating and the rest on waiting to be assisted. I myself have worked at a restaurant for two years and I do understand times when the restaurant gets busy or when servers need to have their food etc, but in this case here, it was lack of discipline at work.

Wow, I am sincerely blown away. This place is an absolute gem! We initially came to the area planning to eat at the Mediterranean restaurant next door, but when we got out of the car we were drawn into Maharaja by this alluring scent of curry and tandoori which was ever so elegantly lingering in the air. Almost as a finger signaling to us, “Come in here” …. we could not resist . Warmly greeted at the door, without delay on our way to a booth, I immediately noticed that our party was the only non Indian group in the building. Right then and there I knew we were in for a treat. Both Daman and PK were super knowledgeable regarding the menu, genuinely eager to help, and a pleasure to be served by. From the decor to the ambiance right down to the passion behind the staff, you can just tell that a lot of people are pulling in the same direction in order to make such a wonderful restaurant vibe this good. Usually, when a restaurant has impeccable food, either the service is arrogant, or the vibe is terrible. Very very few can pull off culinary masterpieces, while also maintaining humility, and in an environment where you are 100% able to relax and enjoy yourself in. Seriously, the best Indian cuisine we’ve had since wandering through little India in Singapore. I’m honestly upset that I’ve only just found this place, can’t wait to come back!

Maharaja’s food is ok. I had the butter chicken as my entree. I thought it was overly sweet, even though I requested 5* heat, and the amount of chicken that you get is lacking. We also had a seared meat appetizer that was pretty good. I would go back to see if other dishes appeal better to my pallet.

Pretty disappointed in my meal. I LOVE Indian food and this was… not the best. First of all the portion size for the price is ridiculous. You pay $16.95 for one SMALL bowl of Butter Chicken and a small rice. Then the “Indian salad” I paid 5.99 for had no dressing nor seasoning and was nearly just a whole red onion. The Naan was not fresh/warm. The butter chicken was however full of robust flavor and spice. Warmed me right up!

I’ve frequently visit this place and also order online. The flavoring and spices blend perfectly in every dish. The overall taste is awesome and consistent. The service is amazing as well. Highly recommend the biryani which comes with Raita. Parking is easy to find in the plaza. Takeout service is on time and packing is done well to avoid spilling.
