Tried the Country Fried Steak for breakfast. it was really good. It’s not a bad price for $10.99. It comes with egg, potatoes, meat, & toast.

It was very basic. Nothing special that stood out. Was in kind of an odd location but it made looking for it fun. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bathroom was clean. Looks to be a small town restaurant with lots of regular customers.

We headed out to Hicksville to do their Drive-Thru light display, for my birthday. We decided to give this place a try. Joann had the patty melt and onion rings. The O’rings we’re awesome. Sweet onions, crunchy thin batter on outside; excellent. She said it was a good patty melt too. She was able to eat it for lunch today too.

I had the 2 piece fish, with 2 sides. House salad was shared with Joann. It was that big. French fries were a little too crisp for me and the fish was ok. One piece was ok but the other piece was so OVER-FRIED that chewing it was a lost cause. It was so bad that not even our cats wanted it. That’s saying something… It ended up in the garbage at home.

Restaurant was very clean, staff friendly and attentive. We shared a very, VERY cold piece of carrot cake, which clearly had been frozen at some point. It WAS MY BIRTHDAY, after all.

You can tell by the unassuming location that the regular diners are well known by the staff. We will give them another chance, so we can have breakfast there next time. Location, of the windows in restaurant allowed for watching the snow come down. Great place.

This place has great potential, but it’s not there yet. The entrance is on the left side as you pull up to the house-looking establishment. When you walk in, you walk into an empty dining room. There was a fly swatter laying on the floor and a ball of paper; which we found out was from the kids playing. We weren’t sure where to go until a lady, poked her head around the corner and said to head down the hallway and sit anywhere. She was sitting at the table rolling silverware, which is fine, until she wiped her nose and went back to rolling silverware. We got our menus quickly and were told about the special for the day. The entrees are all a la carte, which is fine but I didn’t want to almost double the cost of my entree by getting a side of sweet potato fries for $4.99. We both got the turkey club. It was an average sandwich. We were done with our food, pre-bussed our own table, and then we waited. They weren’t that busy, and we shouldn’t have had to wait as long as we did. Eventually we got up, and waited a little longer to get checked out. Overall, if you’re not in a rush, want an extremely laid back atmosphere, reasonable prices, this is the place to go.

The burger was very good!
Fries were hand cut and crispy.
Was a bit busy for a Friday lunch so waitress was running ragged.
Wish I didn’t hear about the guy behind me’s lip cancer surgery in such detail but the acoustics in the place don’t lend themselves to quiet chats.

Great hometown breakfast…..I havent tried lunch yet, but I will. This place is almost in the middle of nowhere, but the food is good, service is great, and worth a stop when you are in the area.

Where’s the Atmosphere?! It felt like we were eating in a white, sterile clinician room. No TV’s on (I don’t think they work); and no music on or available. No warmth; no sound, no fun. Cold; almost echos. That place could be a gold mine, but who wants to eat when on display? Food is only moderate.

I was here for a catered funeral reception. The service was good, but only one server for 50 people. The buffet was simple and good food, but the server had to try to keep up with the demand. If you have over 20, I think you need at least two.

Don’t bother ordering the chicken strips. They shouldn’t even call them that. Maybe the worst processed so called chicken ever. I should have just went to the pizza place in town instead
