Stopped by for lunch to try one of their dishes, we are from the UK and are surrounded by Chinese restaurants and since moving back to the South Shore have struggled to find something similar, the food was piping hot ( just perfect ) very fresh, chicken balls were so fluffy, really enjoyed the food, they had lots of options too! Will defiantly come by again.

Cheap?…no. Tasty? Yes!!!

This is the closest to authentic “Chinese American” flavour and quality that you will get in the south shore and maybe even all of NS with exception for the egg rolls, but to no fault of this establishment since all egg rolls in NS are cabbage and curry based unlike the rest of the world who use bean sprouts. Let’s start with the ultimate Chinese food staple – sweet and sour chicken balls. WOW – these are the crispest and meatiest chicken balls that we’ve ever had, delicious! Not too much dough. We have previously ordered the hot and sour soup which was amazing. So far the meat and veggies in the dishes have been very high quality and the fried rice has been excellent. The Chicken Soo Guy was a generous portion, nice crispiness on the batter. My only complaint was that they forgot to include the mushroom gravy which is my favourite part.We are excited to order more/different dishes in the near future. Moo Goo Guy Pan and Szechaun are on my list. I do want to say that there are other good CF places in Bridgewater at slightly lower cost. Magic Wok just happens to be our favourite and I don’t mind spending a little more for really good food!

My mouth waters over Magic Wok’s Shanghai noodles! If you know, you know! After living in Toronto and New York City and travelling to Hong Kong, I never thought that I’d find Shanghai noodles as incredible as these in Bridgewater. The chef is clearly well trained on the wok as this dish has that coveted smokey char wok hei flavour. The flavours are perfectly balanced and the shrimp are always perfectly cooked. If you’ve never ordered these noodles, I highly suggest you do.

I usually only order the Shanghai noodles here, but have also ordered their Wonton soup and have felt so comforted by the perfect consumme and wontons.

We’re regular customers, usually having the Singapore noodles and the Shanghai noodles. Last order we noticed the portions significantly smaller… tried again today and thoroughly disappointed when we opened the container and saw the portion half what it used to be. And, they charge extra for the take out paper bag!
Posted pic tells the story, these containers would be loaded with Singapore noodles, not anymore!
That’s the last order.

Ordered singapore noodles, served with burnt ingredients, when I told the
Counter attendant to replace it,she refused.
Than other lady came in n said we make it like this,it’s your wish to eat it or not.
That’s pathetic.
What a waste of money n time.
Never visit again.

Ordered ahead, arrived on time, place was dead and food was not yet ready. The food itself was good however it cost about 50$ after tip and the portions were not what I expected for the money. We ordered combo 2 and a general Taos, no drinks, or other sides. See photos for reference.

The cashier was unfriendly and did not answer questions, but offered to look at the photo (which was not there!) to see what the soup with mushrooms looked like. They brought us raw meat with some kind of liquid (which is not in the photo) and proved that it was ready, they only offered to put our plate in the microwave when my husband refused to eat it, she did not even offer to refund the money.

Very bad customer service! Not worth the price! They gave us food that tastes like heated from yesterday’s left over. Ordered wonton noodle soup and it was bland. Asked for a take out bag but they want it paid 25cents. The guy in the kitchen is rude and yelling to the counter person. Will never eat again

We love the food here, some of our favourites are the Singapore noodles and chicken fried rice off the menu! The owners are always kind to me, and especially love when I bring my son with as they have seen him grow up over the years! I have lived in Calgary, Halifax and have travelled across Canada, their food is some of the best I have had! The owners work long hours 6 days a week for many years! It was a little disheartening to read some of these reviews. We eat here monthly, it’s our go to takeout spot and we appreciate them! Thank you for the yummy food ❤️
