The hand pulled noodles were so fresh and perfectly cooked. I like that you can choose the shape and size of your noodles. I went with the thick version and liked the beef broth. Felt like it was lacking a little depth so I added chilli crunch to it which made it better.

The fried rice is also really good, very fresh with good flavor but it was too salty. The staff is really friendly and made us feel very welcome. This is perfect cold weather food, will be back.

Went here with the other grandparents and the two kiddos. I’d never been to noodle restaurant before.
My wife and the kids liked the appetizers. Those of us with noodle dishes all choose classic diameter. The kids liked the delivery robot but our server brought our order.

We have gone to magic noodle twice now and each time it has not disappointed. One the environment is exactly what I want from an authentic noodle place on a cold/rainy day. So homey. AND THE ROBOT!! I am obsessed with the kitty serving bot. Waiters and staff are always super friendly and service is fast! I like that it’s not too big and most of the time it isn’t crowded. Now on to my favorite part. The food. For appetizers we got the soup dumplings which were immaculate!! Along with the fried pork gyoza which we devoured. No negative opinion on either only that I wish we got more! This time around for ramen I got the Magic Pork with a fried egg. My bf got the shrimp and pork wonton ramen. Mind you we have gone to Jinya down the street and you can tell a difference in the noodle, soup quality, and overall quality. This place is 100x better! There is an entirely different flavor to this place. Also price is incredible for the quality and service they deliver. Whereas Jinya overcharges for subpar food and cocktails. Me and my bf have silently agreed that once winter and that crisp fall weather hits we will be coming more than once a week! Highly recommend this place over any other! Oh and we also tried the pineapple sake, I ain’t a sake person but let me tell you if you like pineapple this is the drink for you! Will always be coming back to this place!

Food and service are good. Atmosphere is not bad, it is very casual. Must try their Soup Dumpling. Pretty high standard for Kansas City.

First experience dining in this restaurant and I wasn’t “wowed”! It wasn’t terrible by any means but I was expecting a more authentic dining experience which may have been where I went wrong. Firstly, Atmosphere and service were amazing. The servers/hosts were nonstop smiling and it was wonderful. Our server was very attentive to us. The food, on the other hand… was not great, in our opinion. We ordered the beef gamo, beef scrolls, dandan noodles, and minced pork paste noodles.

Starting from Beef Gamo: The beef was quite salty and a bit tough to chew for us. Flavor was great however just too salty for me. 6.5/10

Beef Scrolls: the beef is the same exact as the beef in the beef gamo. Tough, same taste, and too salty. The pancake was nice and flaky though. Flavor was good. I’d order this one again though, it was quite tasty as there wasn’t too much meat so it was too salty and the pancake enveloping the ingredients balanced out the saltiness. 7.5/10

Dandan Noodles: I ordered mid-round noodles and boy, for $15, I probably got 8-10 strands of really thick noodles! Which was my fault for ordering mid-round noodles. The noodles were cooked to perfection though. Al dente and chewy. The overall dish was seasoned great however it was super dry… I finished my noodles and had a bunch of ingredients left since the noodles to the “sauce” ratio is a bit off. A bunch of meat was leftover. I think next time I won’t be ordering such thick noodles. It was hard to grab with chopsticks and like I said, 8-10 bites and the noodles were gone. Sauce had balanced notes of peanut and spice and saltiness though. Not sure I’d order this dish again. 7/10

Minced Pork Paste Noodle: this dish’s taste was so much better and my friend had ordered classic noodles. She said it was still a bit thick but it was more manageable to consume. She had more noodles in her plate, it seemed, and wasn’t gone in just a couple bites. The sauce was sweet and salty. No hint of spice. Great flavor! Noodles were again, al dente. For some reason though, her dish was also very dry. 8/10

Overall: I’d give this place 3.85/5 stars. Could use an improvement here and there. Not a bad place to eat for sure, but coming from someone who consumes a lot of these dishes frequently, it did not WOW me, however the star of this restaurant is the hand pulled noodles which they did great on!

Updated Review in response to restaurant’s reply: I went to look at their online menu and it does indeed say muffin for their beef and pork gamo! That is my fault for overlooking that thinking it would be something else! For how professional of a response/reply the restaurant gave, I will most definitely go back and try them again! I think this time I’d get thinner noodles to get a better experience for their dry noodle dishes and I can get thicker noodles for their soup dishes.

The food was delicious and the robot delivering our appetizers was so fun. I loved watching the chefs hand-pull noodles to order, making them the size of your choice. The crab rangoon was amazing and had actual pieces of crab, as it should! We will definitely eat at the Magic Noodle again.

When this place first opened, it was excellent—great noodles, large shrimp portions, and much better customer service. Unfortunately, the quality has gone downhill.

I’m a regular customer and usually spend $100 or more per visit feeding my family of six, so this isn’t a one-off experience. Tonight’s order was especially disappointing. The crab rangoons were cold and tasted like they had come straight from the freezer, and two of them were completely empty. We ordered five shrimp noodle dishes, and the shrimp were very small and scarce, with more vegetables than noodles in the containers.

I also asked for sauces and was given none at all, and the staff seemed confused and unprepared when asked. For an average of $15 per person, the food quality just isn’t there anymore.

It’s disappointing because this location used to be much better. At this point, the Lee’s Summit location is worth the longer drive—the quality and overall experience there are far superior.

I hope this location can improve and get back to how it was when it first opened.

My family 90% of the time eats farm to table. The only restaurant my wife and our kids eat out at is Magic Noodle. 2 or 3 times a week we eat here and love it everytime. The taste is truly amazing and their crab rangoon and the egg rolls are second to none.
I had a complaint yesterday which had nothing to do with their food or business and they were highly attentive and took me very seriously, most places don’tas we all know. Every family should give Magic Noodle a try. You wont regret it. I wish more restaurants had this level of quality and taste. But unfortunately comparatively since they don’t we’re stuck eating here for the time being! Keep up the great tasting handmade food and all around quality Magic Noodle team!!!! Everyone’s family should give you guys a try!!!

The Magic Beef with Classic Noodles had noodles that curled onto each other instead of forming long strands. The Dan Dan Noodles, Mid Flat Style, were slightly overcooked but still tasty. The Signature Fried Rice was average. The Tate Slaw had a nice texture, and the marinade was flavorful, though it lacked the other veggies mentioned on the menu. The Lamb Skewers were tender and well-seasoned with cumin and chili powder. The Magic Sauce on the table tasted like taco seasoning to me. Having a robot serve you is always a neat experience. For the price, the portion sizes could have been better.
