My husband and I visited here for the first time and planned to take our food to go. We were talked in to dining in by the enthusiastic staff, and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is wonderful. A great place for a date night. The pizza was fantastic with all kinds of unique choices. It was hard to pick. The gluten free crust was delicious as well. We had cheesecake, too and yum! We couldn’t eat it all because we were stuffed. I literally can’t wait to go back! 100/10 would recommend!

This is hands down the best pizza spot and restaurant in the Iowa City area. The food and atmosphere feel straight out of a big city. The servers and management are unbelievably kind and truly care about their customers. I’ve never experienced a staff that’s this welcoming and attentive. Absolutely unmatched.

First time in Iowa, first stop besides the famous truck stop, and first time eating. Drove from Michigan to Iowa, so ate this after a 24hr fast. Pizza was light but good, any pizza with pesto tastes like authentic Italian to me. If you are looking for a lighter pizza option in Iowa City, or not too far off I-70, this place would be perfect for you. I’m bulking so best believe I ate the whole thing. Would also recommend to bring cayenne pepper and honey to top it off.

This place is a must try if you haven’t already! We absolutely enjoyed our first experience! We got a plate of Chicken Wings to start, a Maggie’s Margherita Pizza, a Funghi Pizza, a Pesto Pasta, and an Italian Choc Mousse. Everything tasted authentic and perfect! Love the fact that everything was made fresh with their own unique ingredients, even the pasta is handmade! We will definitely come back again!

It was moderately busy even on a Tuesday! The restaurant also has a cozy atmosphere to compliment the food! Great place for celebratory occasions or social gatherings!

The customer service is amazing and upstanding! The food was incredible and the atmosphere is exceptional. We had a reservation for my husband’s birthday on a Saturday night. They took a few minutes to get our table ready. We were perfectly fine waiting, it was not an inconvenience at all. They ended up comping all of our desserts! Which was not necessary but very much appreciated . Love this place!

Pizza was overpowered with garlic. Borderline undercooked dough when we expected a more crisp crust for a wood-fired pizza. $18 for as small and medicore as the pizza turned out to be is crazy in my opinion. We also got the 7 layer bolognese and was left just as disappointed. May be for some, but it was not for us.

One of our favorite restaurants in Iowa city. The pizza is always delicious, as is the lasagna. Last night I had the special butternut squash pizza, which was amazing. Husband had shrimp pesto pasta and really enjoyed it. Love their Maggie‘s salad with the lemon vinaigrette. Desserts are always delicious, too.

First time here and I truly expected more but that’s alright.. the lighting was uncomfortable. I expected more from the menu; I went for a dinner to celebrate our anniversary, but won’t be coming back. As we read the menu we thought to even dine somewhere else… maybe we should’ve because the portions were very small and the cost was about the same as chilis. Left hungry and unsatisfied.

The food here is fresh and delicious. The salads are large and well-proportioned. The pizza crust is deliciously simple with a great wood-fired flavor and texture. The toppings and cheese were balanced just right. The burrata was a highlight–so fresh and with just the right delicate seasoning! The service was excellent. Everyone was kind, helpful, and outgoing. I have food allergies, and they bent over backward to help me find something and to make sure it all came out correctly. I’d eat here on a daily basis if I could!

We love having Maggie’s so close as we just live over on Koser and can walk.
However I have to say last night was the second time we were disappointed.
We sat at the bar and ordered a drink. I got my wine, because two of the beers on draft were out.
My husband got a miller light, I had to ask 10 minutes after my wine came if he could get it. And then they had no glasses available f him to put his beer in. Really?
We both ordered pizza.
His came out, 20 minutes later mine finally came out.
The crust was soggy and very little toppings.
I never write a review, but had to this time in hopes that our experience will be better if we decide to return.
