Their French onion soup is absolutely spectacular, rich, flavorful, and comforting. They made this version with beer.
The lunch menu is very well thought out, starting at around $28 CAD per person. You can choose a main and a dessert, or a main and an appetizer, and there are small extras for certain upgrades. For example, selecting the onion soup comes with a $4 CAD extra.
Portions are larger than I expected. I also tried the stuffed pasta, which was really tasty and cooked perfectly.

What an amazing place the get a bite to eat as the food and drinks are superb.
Maggie Oakes is perfectly located in the heart of where everyone is and it fits perfectly. The atmosphere is very modern with a touch of fine dining. The outdoor patio is very open but a little bit crowded.
The drinks were mixed very nice and had a good amount of imagination when thinking about different drinks. The food was exquisite and presented very well. The combination of Beef and waffles was very different and very good!
The prices are above normal but with the experience and how amazing the food is it is definitely worth it.
Overall, great experience and a great place to have a nice date night or just a night out.

Came here to celebrate a bachelorette. unfortunately we booked first with the Terrasse William Gray and they “lost” our reservations.
They did set us up in the back corner so we had lots of room. We had a prefix menu at $80 – that was set on the table as we got there so that was great. We were pleasantly to greeted and sat.
I did find that our beverage orders did take quite a while to be taken and then another 20 minutes before actually arriving. As much as they were meticulous with the cleanliness of the table, I feel the follow up for drinks while we waited for our food should’ve been more frequent. Had it been more frequent? We probably would’ve ordered more beverages while we waited for our food.
Once our food finally did arrive it wouldn’t say it was anything outstanding nothing memorable that makes me feel like I’d like to come back. My highlight of this whole experience was the one espresso martini I was able to have.

Truly enjoyed Maggie Oakes , so much so that we started our day with brunch and decided to go back for a pre-dinner round of cocktails and appetizers.
Made reservations for their Sunday brunch long in advance as it does get busy . Service was good , slightly slow but normal for a crowded Sunday .
We ordered mimosas and hearty brunch items from the menu . Quinoa with beets and feta crumble on top and a side of grilled salmon . Delicious . Classic two eggs with bacon and breakfast potatoes was solid and the smoked salmon with eggs Benedict with hollandaise in the side are great .
We returned in the evening for a pre dinner round of cocktails and an appetizer. Drinks are strong and well prepared . Sangria is a stand out . Goat cheese nougat with crusted pistachios is a perfect spread with bread , plus it is gluten free . Ideal to start the evening off.
Definitely a great place to enjoy drinks , brunch and time with friends

Really good food and the our server was really attentive. We enjoyed the bread starter and the steak was exquisite! We also enjoyed the Caesar salad which was deconstructed and different from any I’ve had before! We really enjoyed our meal, but at some points we did feel as if we were looked down on as a group of younger women in a posher place.

I was looking for a nice breakfast café, and this spot came up highly rated. It’s definitely more of a restaurant than a small café, but from the moment you walk in, the place smells amazing and is spotless.
We ordered a cappuccino and a regular black coffee—both were excellent. I had the avocado toast and substituted a fried egg instead of poached. The feta and walnut emulsion on the brioche bread was something I’d never had before, and it was incredible.
My husband got the salmon bagel, and it was like butter. The bagel had the perfect crisp, the cream cheese was light and evenly spread (no dry spots!), just the right amount of capers so it wasn’t overpowering, and the salmon itself was divine.
Overall, it’s not your typical cozy café vibe, but the food was absolutely outstanding.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, but what really made the experience unforgettable was Mateo’s service. He was attentive, kind, and made us feel truly welcomed. Mateo is the reason we’ll be back! Kudos to bartender Jamie and Manager He as well, you can tell they set a high bar for hospitality here.
