We would happily return and recommend it to our friends.
The location itself is stunning. Sitting out on the deck, looking out over the water (even at low tide, which highlights the beautiful ecosystem), you instantly feel relaxed. It’s genuinely a million-dollar view that elevates the entire dining experience.
The star of the show for our meal was definitely the Blueberry Pancakes. They were everything a perfect pancake should be—fluffy, light, and absolutely loaded with fresh, plump blueberries, finished with a delicate dusting of powdered sugar. (We also had an egg side, which was simple and perfectly cooked!)
What made the experience truly exceptional was the service. Our server, Krystal, was incredibly attentive, sweet, and ensured we had everything we needed without ever making us feel rushed. Great food is terrific, but service like Krystal’s is what makes you want to return again and again.
If you’re looking for a delightful breakfast or brunch in Clearwater Beach with great food, friendly staff, and a gorgeous view, make sure Maggie Mae’s is on your list!
The parking situation is very tricky since it’s located in a small shopping center with limited spots. To make it more difficult, a nearby restaurant with valet service was blocking much of the parking lot, which made getting in and out pretty frustrating.
The wait was long, about 45 to 50 minutes and they don’t text you when your table is ready, so you have to stand around the front waiting for your name to be called. We were seated outside and did get a nice waterfront view, which was one of the highlights.
The service took a while to start, it took some time before anyone came over to take our order. When our waiter finally did, he was very apologetic and you could tell they were extremely busy and possibly understaffed.
For food, we ordered the corned beef with eggs and pancakes with sunny-side eggs and turkey sausage. The turkey sausage wasn’t good at all, I didn’t even eat it, and overall the food was pretty average, nothing memorable or standout.
The checkout process was quick and easy, which we appreciated, but overall, between the long wait, parking issues, and average food, I probably wouldn’t return.
It’s a popular spot with a nice view, but the overall experience didn’t quite live up to the hype.
I stopped in for the Hillbilly Taters, and let me tell you—there’s no such thing as “mediocre” biscuits and gravy. It’s either good or bad, and Maggie Mae’s has the good kind. The kind that makes you forget about the resort buffet entirely.
The restaurant has that cozy, small-town diner charm—complete with funny signs (loved the “boneless chickens” one) and servers wearing shirts that remind you customer service is a two-way street. The vibe is friendly, a little sassy, and totally genuine.
Come hungry, leave happy—and probably planning your next visit before you hit the parking lot.
