What a great evening we had, not just because of the food but the whole dining experience. The restaurant is always busy so you need a reservation, especially for the weekends. Wow. Friend of mine picked this restaurant and what an amazing pick. Great food. Great choice of wines. We had the chefs menu. You feel the thoughts and love that went into it. Friendly and attentiv staff. We felt so welcome. Have a good night drink at the bar!

This place is still a bit of an insider tip in Lucerne. Definitely worth a visit if you like great service, a hidden gem and yummy food. The menu is limited and so different you will need to allow your palate to wander. Give it a shot. The cuisine is Regional and the concoctions unique. The food is fresh and sourced regionally too which gives them an edge over others. Their wine selection is also interesting.
The ambience is warm and cosy during the winter months.

This is not simply food, it is an experience. A surprise menu offering a kaleidescope of flavours yet catering for meat, fish and vegetarian eaters as well as preferences and dietary restrictions. Enjoyed it immensely 🙂

Food is everything but boring or ordinary and absolutely delicious.
Martina and her bubbly wines are a delight. You could not wish for a more welcoming, friendly and attentive service.
We had the time of our lives and will recommend Magdi Beiz to everyone who wants to hear it!

Had read that the bar called Hard Rock Down Town on Eisengasse street was meant to be a cool enough place to hang out, so had a look and it was closed. A bit annoying as it was the afternoon but anyway a kind man who noticed that I had tried to open the door suggested St. Magdalena as a good place for a drink, a bar two doors down.
Took his advice and ventured in. Small enough place, really just a tiny circular bar with a few tables and chairs and not much else. Sat at the bar and ordered an Eichhof from the very friendly bar man.
Got chatting to two Lucerne FC supporters, and enjoyed the casual atmosphere in the place, a good friendly vibe to the place, very chilled. Seemed it was made up of mostly locals, which is cool.
They do food here, but it’s on the small scale here, nothing too pretentious all ordinary ware.
One major issue is the hard core porn images they have in the toilet. I do wonder why a certain community always need to appeal to the lowest common denominator, it’s not cool or “edgy”, but crass and I can’t for the life of me see what’s the point of it. Anyway judge for yourself, see pic!
