This is a cute spot with ample seating and window seats that overlook a riverscape.
The service was friendly and the food was good. The menu contains basic breakfast fare but with creative options like sweet potato fries (they were excellent not greasy just good). They did have gluten-free bread/but not gluten-free pancakes (One can always hope right?)
quick turnaround time between order and eating.
We found it to be a great spot to stop for breakfast if you’re passing through.
Suggest you do!

First time here and it did not disappoint! Omelets were good, sweet potato hash very tasty. But the star of breakfast was the wild game sausage (venison), so flavorful and juicy.
I feel it’s important to mention that during our visit they were short staffed but made the obsolete best of it!!! Service was very friendly and efficient!

We were driving through Springfield and happen to find this gem of a restaurant. First impressions were “wow”. It has such a nice view of the black river which made it feel so cozy. Next, the service was so friendly and attentive. Our server really made our visit so pleasant. Finally, the food was amazing. My kids (10&12) were really impressed by the fluffy pancakes and the adults really enjoyed the Hash Benedict & the Maebelline Melt. We will definitely visit again when we’re in the area.

Place you want to be!
Fantabulous view, great servers and yum food. You can’t miss the view with a lovely ambiance. The food was fresh and quick with good options. There was no turkey sausage or bacon so we tried the hash corned beef- the stellar! Bottomless coffee tasted good as well. I would wanna come back anytime!

What a charming little breakfast spot. Located right on the Black River in Springfield with amazing views. We spent a long weekend in the area decided to stop here on a Saturday for a quick meal. So glad we did. Food was delicious. We had French toast, eggs, hash browns, and sausage links. Service was great and the staff were all very friendly.

This was our first visit to this sweet, beautiful restaurant, and it won’t be our last! We snagged a river view table, and had the loveliest waitress. The food was outstanding – the three people in our party each got something different, and we were all very happy with our choices. I had blueberry pancakes, and they were outstanding!

I’ve been wanting to go to this restaurant for a while, but it’s only open from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. so it was rare for me to get an opportunity to check it out. I was greeted immediately when I walked in and I was happy to see that it wasn’t super busy despite the fact that it was around noon. I was seated immediately at one of the tables overlooking the beautiful view of the river. The menu includes breakfast and lunch staples with a few special items like a Vermont salad, but I was really excited to try the pulled pork barbecue sandwich because I love barbecue and I rarely have it. The presentation is very cute- sandwich on the tray with wax paper printed to look like London newsprint that you get at a fish and chip shop- but I was ultimately disappointed by the sandwich itself. The meat texture was okay but flavor was completely missing and for some reason the only barbecue part of it was a little dish of barbecue sauce on the side that I was supposed to either dip my sandwich into or pour onto my sandwich- it wasn’t really clear which. The homemade chips that came with the sandwich were incredible though. I would definitely recommend if you are coming for lunch to get those chips. I hope to come back at some point in the future and try one of the other dishes; I’m definitely not trying to render judgment on any other food item in the menu other than the one that I tried. I was disappointed that they didn’t have any non-dairy milk to go in my coffee though. that seems like a pretty basic thing these days, but the coffee wasn’t too strong so I could drink it black. not the end of the world. All in all, it was a lovely experience as a person dining alone and I really loved the relaxed atmosphere even as the restaurant started to fill up with more patrons by the time I was leaving. Also, the price is extremely reasonable for the type and quality of food! but doing a sandwich by sandwich comparison, I would recommend the Springfield diner over this place for a lunch fix.
