Planned a 40th birthday for a close friend. Just 6 of us. We were able to make reservations about 7 months in advance. Everything was wonderful. We were even able to order a cake from the restaurant. Highly recommend you eat here for your next special occasion. What a gem!

Madison’s at Old Edwards Inn is a beautiful, elegant yet cozy dining spot – a perfect setting to conclude our birthday getaway in Highlands. Since we were staying at the historic inn, dining at Madison’s felt like a great extension of our experience. The staff was attentive and well trained – always present but never intrusive. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, making for a memorable meal. Next time, we will aim to try one of the booth seats by the windows. We appreciate the team’s thoughtful birthday wishes, which added a personal touch to the evening. The only thing that could have made the experience even sweeter? A complimentary chocolate treat to end the night.

Edit to say our second trip, a year later, was just as awesome! Beautiful setting, great service and food! My cappuccino was amazing.
We had breakfast as a part of our package during our stay at 200 Main. Totally loved everything about it! The food and ambiance were fantastic, and the service was superb! Definitely will return and I highly recommend.

We stumbled upon Madison’s at the Old Edwards Inn based on a friend’s recommendation for a late lunch. Although we were informed that lunch service ended at 2 PM, arriving at 2:10pm, we were pleasantly surprised when they seated us regarrdless with smiles on their faces. We started with two glasses of Riesling and their fabulous trout dip. The service was a perfect 10 out of 10, and the staff was incredibly lovely.
For lunch, we ordered the liver and couldn’t resist trying the shrimp and grits, which turned out to be one of the best I’ve ever had. Later, we made our way to their Hummingbird Bar for cocktails and tasted their signature caramelized bread pudding, which was nothing short of fabulous. If you’re in Highlands, there’s no better place to stop for a drink, a bite to eat, or a divine meal. Also, such a beautiful place full of history!

Madison’s is a wonderful stop in Highlands! My wife and I had a fabulous lunch. She had the fish and chips, which were wonderful! And I had the veal liver, that was off the charts! That paired with great wine made for a fantastic meal, with top notch service and atmosphere!

Wow, lunch at Madison’s was the highlight of our weekend getaway. The food was great, the atmosphere elegant yet cozy, and the service was absolutely first rate. Carlos, said he had been a server at different restaurants for 11 years but Madison’s was the first place to make him really want to provide service as good as the food – and that attitude came through in every interaction. We had a reservation but that was not necessary on Sunday morning anyway.

My wife and I stayed two nights at Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, NC and had a fantastic experience. We met the manager, Mary, and she made sure the entire staff went above and beyond to deliver a true 5-star-plus stay. Exceptional service and attention to detail, we’ll definitely be back and are even considering it for a future formal wedding. Highly recommend!

We ate here for lunch after reading the menu and were very excited. We ended up being incredibly disappointed because the food was just bland. The wagyu smash burger was barely perceptible in terms of flavor, as if it were unseasoned and the aioli they put on was dripping off but tasted like nothing. My wife got the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was good but all the flavors were very muted. We then got the ” Caramelized Banana Puddin’ ” and it was plain pudding with nilla wafers and some caramel sauce at the bottom. Nothing was “caramelized” and when I got a piece of banana I couldn’t even tell because it tasted like nothing. I forgot what it was supposed to have been while I was eating it. Everything was fresh, and it looked great, just overall not worth the exorbitant price tag for flavorless food. We expected more. The atmosphere was great, and the wait staff was incredibly nice. The cocktail was delicious.

Can’t say enough good things about Madison’s. Food is fantastic! I got the bolognese 2 nights in a row with a glass of rose. So delicious. We got the cookie and ice cream for dessert–huge serving, but delicious and still thinking about it. We’ll go back every year no doubt.

We tried to get a table in the main restaurant in the side room, but the booths were all reserved. It actually worked out because we we able to sit in the Wine Garden. Absolutely beautiful setting and great service. We started with the Artisan Bread Basket…so good! The Chicken Caesar Wrap was excellent, but the Pulled Pork was disappointing…a bit fatty and bland. I tried the Sake Sangria, which was different but good.
