The wife and I had lunch here this afternoon on their 3rd official day open. She ordered the classic dosa with sambhar (her tried and true dish) and I went off the recommendation of the owner.
We started with the Curry Leaf Chicken as an appetizer and had their Masakali Chicken Biryani Boneless as my dish. Both were amazing yet humbling with the spice level. We ended with traditional tea to sweeten the spice. All dishes were amazing! With 360+ items on the menu, it’ll be years before I have a chance to try everything but I accept the challenge.
Stop by and see for yourself!
Madhur’s Royal South Indian Food is a hidden gem. I came for the buffet and was blown away by how extensive it was. They had four different kinds of rice, including goat biryani, vegetable biryani, and lemon rice—each one full of flavor and cooked just right.
One of the highlights was the live dosa station. Watching them make dosas fresh to order adds to the whole experience—and they came out hot, crispy, and delicious every time.
The variety of chutneys was also impressive—coconut, mint, tomato, and a few more I hadn’t tried before, all packed with flavor and clearly made in-house.
The staff were super friendly and attentive—they kept checking in and making sure everything was fresh and well-stocked. The whole place felt welcoming and well run.
If you’re a fan of South Indian food (or even if you’re new to it), this spot is worth the visit. Come hungry—there’s a lot to try, and it’s all good!
The starters—Punugulu, Mix Veg Pakora, and Sabudana Cutlet—were excessively greasy, setting a poor tone for the meal. The Tandoori Kebab was passable but nothing memorable, while the Hariyali Kebab was undercooked and lacked flavor. The Goat Boti Liver Curry was possibly the worst I’ve ever had, completely undercooked and unpleasant to eat. Similarly, the Telangana Chicken Curry tasted nothing like it should, and the Bagara Rice failed to resemble its traditional Telangana style or even simple Jeera rice. The Lemon Rice was just yellow-tinted grains lacking any real flavor.
Desserts didn’t fare any better—Rava Kesari was an absolute letdown, with unroasted rava, no ghee, and barely any sweetness, making it taste like raw semolina. The live dosa station and chutneys, which should have been the highlight, lacked any authentic taste.
Among the 50 items, the Thalapakatti Goat Biryani and Mix Veg Korma were at least edible, though far from impressive. Ironically, the best item on the menu was the watermelon—thankfully untouched by the kitchen.
At $21.99 plus tax, this buffet is far from worth the price. The owner should focus less on making dosas—which clearly aren’t his strength—and instead prioritize quality control and customer feedback to improve the authenticity of the food. Without a real South Indian chef who understands traditional flavors, I won’t be returning.
If you’re unfamiliar with South Indian cuisine and just want to try a variety of dishes without regard for taste, this place might suffice!
Update based on Management response:
Thank you for responding to my review, though I’m disappointed by the accusation that my feedback was influenced by outside motives. As a South Indian, I was excited to try the variety of dishes on your buffet, expecting authentic flavors. However, the taste fell far short of expectations, leaving me thoroughly disappointed.
I honestly gave feedback on each item I tried, highlighting specific issues rather than making a vague complaint. If you question whether I disliked everything, I suggest reading my review again. I clearly pointed out the items that were at least edible.
Instead of addressing customer concerns, your response dismisses genuine feedback and discredits an honest review. Expertise should reflect in the quality and taste of the food served, and unfortunately, that was lacking. A responsible business listens to criticism and strives to improve, not deflects blame onto the customer.
I hope you take this as an opportunity to reassess and do better rather than assume negative reviews are attacks.
Had an amazing experience at this Indian restaurant. The food was authentic, flavorful, and freshly prepared. Every dish was well balanced with spices, and the presentation was beautiful. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Highly recommend the buffet and live dosa it was a standout! Definitely coming back soon.
Great Food with wide variety of options and covered all them.
Keep up the good work and taste.
Cons:Even though they are open until 4, better to go early as the food may not be refilled if it’s not empty which leaves you with food that has been sitting in the warmer for a while. The refill during early hours doesn’t happen fast enough. I wanted to get an item which was out for 15 minutes almost and another item for about the same time.
The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure our table was taken care of throughout. The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for both families and groups.
And yea don’t go by the photos of the food items, most of them are from internet !
