Budget friendly French experience at it’s best in a very inviting cafe atmosphere. Right by downtown, close to the river, lovely spot for a leisurely afternoon tea (provided you have enough quarters to feed the parking meters!). The creme brulee had a confusing texture – missing a French vanilla flavor with a texture mimicking a pudding than a custard. The French onion soup could have used actual caramelized onion based deeply flavored broth, and proper baguette instead of pieces of bread that looked like croutons from a bag. The crepes were excellent – lightly seasoned and beautifully presented.

I recently connected with a childhood friend and we decided to have brunch at Madeleine’s today! I decided on the club sandwich, without ham and bacon, with a side salad and strawberry lemonade drink. The sandwich, salad and drink were all SO GOOD. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to finish my food but I would definitely order this again!

The hubs and I stopped in yesterday on the way to a BBQ as we were asked to bring desert. Staff sp super friendly and helpful. So we got 1 of each flavor cheesecake they had and a Carmel crepe and a lemon crepe. Everyone said their desert was delicious! The couple bites I had, I have to agree.
We also got a couple of lattes, and if your looking for the real deal without all the sugar to try and hide the bitter this is the place to go. Will definitely return.

I ordered a milkshake and three macarons. Everything was delicious! It was the perfect stop after the farmers market. The milkshake was a drinkable consistency that remained for the entire cup. You know when you get milkshakes that are too thick to drink thru a straw or ones that start fine but end watery — this milkshake had zero of those issues. I got the apple butter at the recommendation of the store owner and couldn’t have been more pleased. Loved it. When I got to the end the whipped cream was still completely intact and I ate it all. It was so good I asked and she confirmed it was made from scratch. I could taste that difference in quality. I really enjoyed the macarons as well and don’t think you can go wrong with any of them. 100% coming back next time I am in town.

Once in a blue moon, I love some humble French food. Ratatouille is an all time favorite, so I ordered some. Takeout.
Madeleine’s is a cute place. I loved looking at their desserts. The flowers on the table were nice to look at as I waited.

Thoughts on the ratatouille. I noticed an oil gloss on the stew. At first, I was like eh….The stew tasted better the more bites I took though. $3.99 for a small portion of stew. It was good. I prefer the version I cook. Yet, I was satisfied.

It was my first time eating at this place and I really enjoyed it. I didn’t know this place existed until a friend told me about it. I took my teenage daughter with me and she said, “I really like this place mom. This will be our new hangout eating place.” Gotta love it when a teenager says that! I ordered a ham, tomato, and ratatouille croissant, and my daughter had a Turkey, bacon sandwich. See the photo of my dessert. Check out their web page for a full menu then head there for an enjoyable meal.

Food is absolutely delicious, and owners are there to be hands on with their food. Customer service is great and the owners are awesome with making sure the food is of top quality. My favorite dish is Croque Monsieur and ratatouille. Also their macaroons are to die for. My favorite desert here is creme brûlée. I will forever be a loyal customer to their restaurant. They truly care about their customers and the quality of their food.

Cute little shop downtown. Our first time trying it and my son really enjoyed his food plus he said the macaroons were great as well. It was nice and quiet when we first arrived then more people showed up and it got pretty busy. It took a little while to get our food but not too long.

We ordered croque madame, lemon cheesecake, and a fruit tart. The croque madame was pretty good but nothing impressive. I feel like I was expecting more but still delicious. The lemon cheesecake didn’t seem too be a cheesecake more of a fluffed whip cream with lemon flavor. It was okay. The fruit tart I believe was a miscommunication I pointed to something in the bake goods display but got a tart with whipped cream and strawberries. I wish I liked it more. :/

So charming. The French vibe right down to the music is a win! There is an extensive menu. We enjoyed sweet and savory crepes as well as pastries. The crepe themselves were not a 5/5, but the fillings, decor, service, and cleanliness definitely were!
