Maddy’s Food Hub is a new eatery in town and we thought we’d try it out. …So glad we did! The food was delicious. We chose the Kelewole appetizer, which are spicy fried plantains with a tasty dipping sauce. We also enjoyed Jollof with rice and beef and Jollof with rice and African BBQ spare rib with spicy hot sauce on the side. —So Good! It was also a pleasure to actually meet Ms. Maddy, who graciously explained some of her featured dishes. We felt right at home in her trendy, cozy bistro style restaurant. —Loved it!

The food is flavorful and plentiful. We had the fish of the day, the peanut butter soup and a vegetarian dish Maddy made especially for us and everything tasted delicious. The plantains were caramelized and are not to be missed!

My husband and I usually have to travel for prepared African food, he noticed there was a new place in Concord so we had to try it and we are so pleased! The atmosphere is great, the service was wonderful and with a smile, and the food!!! We ate the delicious food and even bought more to go home with, it was that tasty. Definitely worth a try if you are used to African food but also if you’re looking to try something new, well worth it.

Was curious about this place since they just open. The food is so good!! Generous portions and the food is flavorful. I’m happy to see African food being introduced to the concord area. Also the owner is very friendly, great atmosphere as well. Will definitely be coming back again.

Soooo. I’ve been twice in one week. I am so glad I seen the ad on FB featuring Patty’s article in the Concord Monitor. I love Ghanaian food especially Waakye so I had to visit. My soul was so happy when I walked in and saw my favorite drink (BB Cocktail) in the cooler too. The food was good and I felt like I was back home with my Ghanaian hubby. 1st visit Waakye and 2nd visit jollof rice with chicken. Thank you Patty for the hospitality

My husband and I like the food so much! We are glad we stopped by. The food is very flavorful and portion will satisfy your stomach! I had okra stew with goat (a little spicy but so flavorful) with fufu. My husband had Waakye (rice with beans, fried fish and shrimp as additional order, fried plantains and other vegetables. The red source and house green source are amazing). The owner and chef lady are very friendly! Try this place and you will not be disappointed.
