Excellent, fresh seafood. Try their blackened dishes and cocktail sauce for shrimp. Take it from transplanted New Orleanians, it’s the real stuff!

The best local seafood place around! They have a great variety of fresh fish they’ll cut and wrap for you, or they’ll cook it right there for u. Salmon, Tuna, striped bass…So much to choose from, you’ll have to make a few trips. They have fried food, fresh clams, mussels, shrimp and scallops. The crab cakes are one of a kind. They even have a crab mac and cheese The list goes on and on. You can’t make a bad choice. Definitely worth checking out. You won’t be disappointed with the food or the service. Great food and great people. Don’t miss out

I got the shrimp and scallop broil platter and clam strips both were very tasteful and not over cooked very well seasoned plus the prices were reasonable.

I’ve purchased fresh seafood and prepared seafood several times here and usually it’s very good. An exception were the fried clams. They were very tough and hard and I had to send them back and ask for something else.
I had another bad experience today though, when I decided to try their fried scallops. After cutting into them, I suspected that the scallops were fake. They were very dense, uniform in size and when I cut them open, it looked like they had been made with pieces of fish that had been pressed together. I asked someone specifically if they used imitation scallops in place of real ones and they assured me that they did not. They said that they were a lower quality than the scallops represented in the case that they sell by the pound, but they came in fresh and then breaded and fried them in house.
I didn’t take a picture to post unfortunately.
I asked if I could please have something else and I ordered the fried shrimp. They were better but not outstanding.
I asked to speak to a manger. They said that he would come out to speak with me, but he was busy in the back cooking. I waited for 25 minutes and then I decided to leave.
I wouldn’t have had felt the need to post a negative review if they had been upfront about their ingredients and honest when confronted.

I’ve bought fish here several times and it’s always good, but today I actually ate their prepared food and a couple oysters. The food we got was great. We got clam strips, the fried shrimp platter, the stuffed blackened salmon platter and 6 oysters. Everything was very good. I would definitely recommend it to scratch that seafood craving itch.

Bought fresh clams and took home the lobster soup. Had their crab cakes cooked there and ate in the food court. Crab cakes were filled with crab meat and vary little filler. Also they were not to wet or dry just perfect. One of the best if not the best crabs cakes I have ever enjoyed. You also have the option to take premade one’s home to enjoy. Loved it !!

Really outstanding, fresh seafood. Service here is prompt and friendly. The best things are the blackened or grilled fish platters (double veggies, do your heart a favor), since they cook the salmon here so perfectly. As another reviewer has noted, this is some of the tastiest, if not the very best salmon, I’ve had, even compared to fancy restaurants. That said, the digs are spartan, this is a Farmer’s Market, so expect plastic utensils, etc. I also recommend the Maryland Crab Soup, which is delicious, and they make many quarts to go.

We were looking for takeout seafood in the area. We were so glad we found Madara’s Seafood. We ordered over the phone and the food was ready as promised. We got the crab cake platter and the combination platter which were both good. Everything was hot and it smelled good. The prices are reasonable and the food was delicious! Only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday so check the hours!

only in reference to their Shrimp Salad, usually it’s very good but we bought a tub of the Shrimp Salad on Saturday and were very disappointed as there was some kind of hard filler instead of small shrimp. We were disappointed as the entrée was about 70% of this harder filler instead of the usual 90% small shrimp. All of the other things we acquired there at Madara’s were excellent.
