My experience at Mad Nice Coffee at Somerset was incredible. First off, the atmosphere is so pretty and very aesthetically pleasing. The decor throughout this cafe is certainly something worth taking a picture of. The food was very delicious and I was so impressed with everything. I don’t remember the names of everything, so my apologies for that. Some of the pictures show what the drinks contain. I ordered an iced vanilla matcha latte with cold foam, strawberry, and whole milk. I absolutely loved this drink and I would definitely return to get it again. The table ordered a variety of different things off the menu, but for the most part, everyone was satisfied with their order. Also, the captions in my pictures are not accurate to what was in each picture. The bagel sandwiches that we ordered were absolutely delicious. We were very pleased with the food, and I would recommend it to those looking for a cafe in Somerset. Finally, the service was excellent as the employee was patient, friendly, and answered all of our questions.

I am always excited for a new coffee place, and the aesthetic is cozy and modern with pops of soft green and pink decor! They were very busy (to be expected for a Saturday before Christmas) but the staff was friendly and kept the line moving consistently. I took the barista’s advice and ordered a hot pistachio latte. I didn’t taste a lot of pistachio flavor until closer to the end so I’m thinking it just needed a good stir. I substituted for oat milk and they do not charge which was a nice touch; however, I can’t say I was all that enthused for $7 small latte. After going to their Mad Nice restaurant in midtown and experiencing their incredible gelato, I was SO excited to have it again with the delicious candied pistachio, chocolate shavings, and sprinkles. We both agreed it was tasty but more like ice cream and not the same intensely creamy gelato texture that we loved from the restaurant. Maybe they use a different machine than the fancy imported Italian gelato machine.

Very mixed review. There was a line to get in, but it was not too long and went by fast. Once we ordered is where the issues started. The staff seemed un-empowered to make the customer’s experience good. When I asked to replace regular cream cheese with their vegan option on one of their bagels, I was first informed they can’t do substitutions… why is the vegan spread an option then? So the girl at the register had to check with the cook if that was okay. And it was. Just weird that the vegan substitution was not a given and we had to hold up the line. Next, when I tried to use the $2 off coupon I was handed in line and was told I did not have to download anything for, I handed it to the girl at the register and she said I cannot use it unless I download their app, and since I had not downloaded it yet, I would not be able to use it this time. I had pulled out my phone to show that I would download it, to which she stopped me and said that there was a line and that I would have to come back again to use the coupon. I’m not from here! But okay. Anyways, the bagel was extremely over priced – $15 for bread, a thin layer of cream cheese, and tomatoes. The coffee was quite good, but a little crazy for $7. So yeah, not the best experience unfortunately.

Last month I was in Somerset mall doing some Christmas shopping and looked up what coffee shops were in the mall. I found Mad Nice in the South end of the mall. I went over only for some drinks and a pastry. The Nitro Draft Matcha was incredible!

Yesterday I was in the area and needed some caffeine and something to eat. I went to Somerset mall to only stop into Mad Nice. The woman at the counter was so kind in helping me find what would be best to eat.

I ended up getting half of a Bubbe and half of a Hazy. INCREDIBLE! The Bubbe was my favorite! Highly recommend! The cafe is absolutely adorable and has so many places to sit and eat!

I had very high expectations of this cafe being a grand opening in the only luxury mall in the entire state of Michigan. The bakery selection was not creative and or aesthetic. We ordered a bagel sandwich and matcha latte for dine in. I could not believe with the effort around creating such a visually beautiful restaurant the food was served in plastic airport packaging and a paper cup. The service was good and you can tell the employees are doing a great job with their resources at hand.

Awesome new spot on the south side of Somerset with such a cool vibe. It’s great to see a local place being brought in instead of a big coffee chain. Had the frozen gelato cold brew and it was so good. Not too sweet and 100 times better than a Starbucks frozen drink. Also had the back nine bagel sandwich which was also really good. Bagel had a very satisfying chew because of the sourdough and all the ingredients were very fresh. Definitely will return!

It felt like a melange of my favorite cafés in Paris and SoCal. On the South side of Somerset, Mad Nice was a cute and comfortable place. The baristas were friendly and unpretentious, my pistachio latte was delish, and it was nice that they had seating both inside and outside the shop – so if you prefer the classic coffee shop background noise, or a more quiet place to chat, you have both. What an upgrade for this side of the Collection.

Absolutely delicious!! Excellent addition to Somerset Mall. I had a Cloud Foam Iced Matcha with Strawberry Cloud Foam and almond milk. It was absolutely amazing!! I paired this with the mix any two sandos. I chose the Bubbe and the Smoky. I was very pleased with both. Both provided unique flavors and were very filling. Great place to meet up for coffee and creative light fare! I will be back to try more soon.

The cloud foam here is top notch. I ordered an unsweetened iced latte and a brioche pistachio dessert that was PHENOMENAL. The guy at the register was super nice and helpful, plenty of baristas ready to make drinks. They were very busy but we didn’t wait long for our drinks. Plenty of seating, very clean. I’ll be back soon.

Love this place! We enjoyed the smoked brisket sourdough bagel and breakfast sandwich along with handcrafted drinks – iced cold foam matcha and a macchiato. Fantastic service and relaxing atmosphere. Looking forward to trying the salads and pastries next time. Great spot to relax at the mall. Love that it’s locally owned.
