Established in 2016, Mad Co. Brew House is Marshall & Madison County’s first brewery. The brew house & pizza kitchen has over 3,000 square feet of space including; a covered patio, tasting room, a back deck overlooking the French Broad River, Blannahassett & the rail line. The building was completely rebuilt to highlight Historic Downtown Marshall, and its quaint Main Street and arts community. The building also features a historic Dr. Pepper mural on the covered patio (doggies are welcome on the front patio).

An historic brick storefront marks the gateway to the eternal, north-flowing French Broad River — its banks recently swelled by the passing storm Helene. We chose to sit on the upstairs open deck, overlooking the now-placid river beneath a brilliant Carolina blue sky, while enjoying a delicious personal pan pizza and a finely crafted brew.
Terra welcomed us with such genuine positive energy that we knew instantly we’d made the right choice for lunch on our return home from Hot Springs. We look forward to coming back again soon!

The pizza here is phenomenal! I got the fig caramelized onion pizza and it was hands down the best non traditional pizza I’ve ever had! The live music and outdoor patio was so fun for an evening out with my partner and our dogs!

We have always loved their pizza in the past, but today they were totally off. Ordered the 12 inch meat lovers add onion, mushrooms and extra sauce ON THE PIZZA. Received mushrooms only, no onions and no extra sauce. We paid for the upgrades and left a tip. Will seriously think twice before returning.

Happy to see this small business bounce back after Helene. The beers are top notch and so is the pizza (including the cauliflower crust option)! Visited one recent December evening so I’ll need to get back to enjoy the view of the river from the deck. Marshall is a charming small mountain town!

Mad Co. Brew House is back open after Helene and doing well! We stopped by for a beverage and really enjoyed the view of the French Broad while we sipped. They also have GF drink options. Definitely give them a try!

If you ever want a wonderful wood fired pizza that won’t bust the bank. Then this is the place to be! The food is wonderful (meat lovers are my favorite). The staff is friendly, and you can even bring your dogs to the covered patio! If you are a native to Madison County, this beats driving 20 mins to Weaverville to get a big box name pizza from people who don’t care if the food is cooked or not. Stop, take a breath, and go to Madison brewing and pizza! I promise you will not regret it. My dad can even eat here because they even have gluten-free pizza crust! On top of other menu items from salads to pretzels! But don’t take my word for it. Look at the takeout i brought home for lunch!
