The pizza itself tasted good, but it had a lot of dough and relatively little filling. It was like eating French bread with a topping. The staff was stiff. There was no room to wait, even though the only option was takeout.
Response to Raff’s comment:
If this is a joke, it’s really bad.
Am I frustrated? I’m having the time of my life in Alaska! Don’t assume how others feel. Oops, now I’m frustrated after all

My friend Joshua saw their card pinned to the tree on the dirty side of the Butte trail. We drove over and ordered in person. The place is connected to the laundromat. Very friendly people and super cool!
They said if you bring in their card found around the Butte, you can spin their discount wheel (see photo). It is super fun!! A great way to promote outside activities.
I ordered a chicken bacon ranch and BBQ Chipotle chicken wings. Picked up my order in 35 minutes. It was a fulfilling treat after a hike up the Butte.

Just got a tanner sandwich and taco salad.
The salad is bomb, saving the salad for tomorrow but had a taste and it’s yummy.
*just waiting for the turkey sandwich to come back and he said he will look into it. That was my favorite forever.
Thank you for making us dinner!

I was really looking forward to trying this pizza, but the dough was a disappointment. It was thick and rubbery. This usually points to issues with fermentation or bake — either the dough wasn’t properly proofed or the oven wasn’t hot enough to give it any lift or texture. The result was a crust that felt dense and tough, without the airy crumb or crisp bite you’d expect from well-made pizza dough. They missed the mark.

Hidden gem close to Jim Creek. Pizza is great and the dough has a sweetness in it that is very good and will make me come back. Tried the Chicken Bacon Ranch and a Pepperoni and Cheese and they were both delicious. The Chicken Bacon Ranch was very subtle and really went well together, nothing was too overpowering and the bacon was really good. Great portion to pricing. Overall I recommend.

This local not so hidden pizza place is the best in the butte! Homemade and hand tossed pizza dough is where the adventure starts! Melted mozzarella, crispy pepperoni , is just the right combination of a Good Friday night! I highly recommend Mad Chads! The staff is friendly and they always have a great attitude ( even when they are slammed! ) if your ever in the butte area call ahead and order! You won’t be disappointed!

Raff and his team are always great and professional. His pizza is always on point unlike the other places in the valley I’ve tried when he’s been closed. His hard work and dedication to his business really delivers in his product and I highly recommend you don’t second guess yourself at trying it out if you haven’t. It’s made the top of the list on places to eat when I have people in from out of town, and it definitely should be yours too.
