I came in on a Saturday night around 6:30. There was no wait and we were seated outside. The atmosphere was nice, unfortunately we sat next to the fire pit but there was no fire. I had a beer and a water to drink. I had the egg rolls with fried okra and toast. All the food was great. Our server was nice, but our food kept getting mixed up from the kitchen. The service was fine, our server had friends at the next table so she was talking to them the whole time. Overall an okay experience with good food. I personally really like the Matthews location the best.

First and last time eating here. They left my collard greens off my order…Jalapeño sausage was dry and cooked to death…chopped BBQ was mushy…Mac and cheese didn’t taste fresh and chicken was dry. Mexican corn was good though. Husband said guy up front was nice…next time double check orders to make sure they are correct!

I ate lunch at Mac’s Speed Shop in Steele Creek on a Wednesday afternoon. They have an impressive selection beer on tap and great BBQ. I had the Pulled Pork sandwich with Mac ‘N’ Cheese that was so good. If you are looking for BBQ and beer, this is the place to go.

We had a private room reserved for our Foster Parents graduation. Our service was exceptional and Matt our server helped with set up, accommodating allergies and even allowed us to decorate. I had to come right here after to leave a review. That was some of the best bbq I’ve ever had… period. I travel a lot and am not easy to impress. I wasn’t even super hungry. Everything on that plate was fantastic. They were super busy. The young lady that sat me also waited on me. I have nothing bad to say about this place. I’ll be back!

James was fantastic!! Very welcoming! We had 9 people for my teenagers birthday and the service was great. They brought out a cowbell and sang happy birthday! She loved it. Everyone was amazing. They made my daughter’s day great. Our server Matt was very accommodating.

James was very nice, great greeter service. He was welcoming with a huge smile and positive attitude. He was very friendly and checked up on us during our time here. Jenna our server was the best. Super friendly, great attitude and has great humor. She made sure we had everything we needed, was quick with her service and very attentive. Such a great place and would definitely be back!!

We had a great lunch celebration for our friend here and James hooked our group of 9 up with the VIP room with no reservation! The food came in a timely manner and tasted great. Matt was a phenomenal server and was very helpful with helping us select our food options. The atmosphere was very artistic and inviting. I’m definitely coming back next time I’m in Charlotte!

Threw my husband a surprise 30th birthday party here!! James greeted us at the door and rang a bell upon our arrival. My husband was thrilled. The staff was so accommodating for our large group, the food was delicious, and the space they set aside for us was absolutely perfect. Could not have celebrated his birthday any better.

Ok let me saw this… hands down, by far the absolute best smash burger I have ever had right here. I was upset with myself for not ordering the Carolina burger they have which is two patties. I got the Pit Burger and omg! So fresh, so well done, crispy onions, fried egg and the side salad was so good!
Now let’s move on to the EXCEPTIONAL customer service given here. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by James who is one of the kindest strangers I’ve ever met. He was so consistent in making sure from start to finish, our dining experience was awesome.
Our super sweet and efficient waitress Kenni was a GEM! I mean she took our order fast, made sure it was correct and gave us some stellar recommendations. Just real sweet people with quality food in a time where people care less and food is not made in love. Mac Shop is a place where I am certain my dining experience will be nothing less than TOP TIER!! Love it here.
