We went to Mac’s for my wife and myself first time. My son and his wife highly suggested it.
Nice atmosphere, we were seated right away, in a corner booth. We needed a booster seat and kids menu and our greeter was spot on.
The food was good, we had a nice variety and everyone was happy. The only negative thing I shall say is the beans were not hot but luke warm. I didn’t want to complain but the food otherwise was good..
We had a spot on waitress and kept the cold brews coming!

Stopped in for dinner. We were greeted at the door and seated quickly. We tried the hushpuppies. They were really good. My table had a grilled cheese kids meal with fries and apples. A buffalo chicken wrap with sweet potato fries and a jam something burger with an egg and sweet potato fries. Everything was good. Our drinks were good as well. The waitress was kind as well

It’s also important to note that this place is very different from years ago. It used to be more of a biker place and more along the lines of an Iron Thunder. Now it’s way more chill.
It’s a mix of couples, families, and people going out for a drink to relax. It’s Cornelius, which is mostly wealthy, so you should never have any problems here. More of a relaxing fun atmosphere.
Definitely recommended! My favorite part is sitting in an Adirondack chair by the fire pit in warm weather during the day with a beer in my hand. Usually nobody out there on weekdays during day.

I’ve been to Mac’s Speed Shop a few times and it’s always a great spot. The atmosphere is laid back and fun, especially if you’re meeting up with friends or watching a game. The staff has always been friendly and the service is pretty quick even when it’s busy.
The food is really solid BBQ. The ribs were tender and full of flavor, the brisket never misses, and the pork is my all-time favorite. They also have a good selection of sides and drinks.
Overall it’s just a cool place to hang out with good food and a good vibe. Definitely worth checking out if you’re around the Lake Norman area.

Absolutely wonderful experience. It was super busy but the server was still attentive and never let my drink run out. The food was incredible and I loved watching the game here. The Manager also stopped by to make sure everything was OK. Lots of fun and tons of incredible food. Both the shrimp and the brisket tacos are absolutely to die for! Well worth a stop.
I just stopped in again for NFL Sunday and even though it was packed, I had a great time! Amazing atmosphere to watch the game in!

I was on town for work. I stopped by to try Carolina bbq, I tried the sampler plate. The pulled pork and brisket were great. The chopped brisket was dry. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was good but wasn’t a fan of the beef one. The corn and beans were great as was the pickles. Had the banana pudding and it was ok. All I all its pretty good bbq.

We went around 6:30 on a Friday night. We got seated immediately. The food was amazing! Fun atmosphere. We had chicken and waffles, chicken quesadilla, BBQ and Mac n cheese, and a hamburger.

Jasmine was a great server. I gave her a nice tip. The service was great. The food was Phenomenal Everyone had a chill vibe and it was nice to be there great for dates or for families or just when you wanna go to the bar. I would recommend asking for Jasmine as you’re server she was amazing i would like her to work at my good she is great for the community and customers

I just visited Mac’s Speed Shop in Cornelius, right off 77, it’s a must-visit. I tried their ribs the first time and they were so good I had to come back. My second visit just so happened to be on their 20th anniversary and I tried the Brisket Eggs Benedict—seriously amazing! The food is the best part, but the service and vibe are awesome too. I’ve heard they have live music every Wednesday for their Jeep night. They had so much to do while I waited, a couple pool tables and a few games. Plus, there’s lots of outside seating. I totally recommend Mac’s if you want great food at a great price.

Came in around 630 after work and found a seat at the bar. Bartender was nice and attentive. I ordered a beer and the deviled egg appetizer. Came with bacon and jalapeño and pickles on the side. Eggs I could tell were made earlier or already bought pre hard boiled , had the rubbery texture like a gas station pack of two. The chicken bowl was my choice for the meal and it was ok but kind of bland. I would not order either of these items if I were ever to come back.
PS: Had the wings 2 nights ago here and they were very good. It leans on the barbecue side so probably best to stick to their specialties.
