ATTN: How do Y’all spell….GOOD?!?!….It’s spelled…. Mac’s Pit Barbecue…and let me say….O they’ll do right by you! Just tried them today for the very First time and it won’t be our Last! I asked for their recommendations and YES theirs was one to be trusted! So, Hubby and I both ordered the 3….YES 3 MEAT PO BOY!, Chopped Barbecue, Sliced Brisket (which is cooked perfectly btw) and superior Sausage plus 2 sides, which they’re plenty to select. Now, I personally suggest the Corn, absolutely colossal in flavor and the Macaroni and Cheese. Y’all, the last time I had Mac and cheese like this, well was in my own personal kitchen! I requested extra barbecue sauce on the side, O So good! And yummy Sweet Tea to wash it all down with! Marvelous meal! Marvelous atmosphere! Marvelous labor of delicious delights all to be found under one roof! For this Critics opinion…. MARVELOUS ALL THE WAY AROUND! Take my word for it…..get out and get in for your own Marvelous experience with Mac’s! Y’all will be seeing us again for sure! BRAVO

I didn’t get any pictures because it was too good to stop and dig my phone out of my purse. I had the poor boy special. A hoagie with three meats, all tender, moist and flavorful, with a side of Mac and cheese and broccoli salad. The broccoli salad fell a bit flat for me, I’m used to it being a bit sweeter, but the Mac and cheese made up for it. It had a bit of toastyness and wasn’t dry or stodgy. It had a nice creamy texture with good flavor. My husband had the turkey sandwich, pinto beans and Mac and cheese. The turkey was also moist and flavorful. The beans were great also, with tons of flavor. Beans aren’t my thing, but I wish I had got them instead of the broccoli. We finished it off with a cherry cobbler and spent about $35 for it all including two drinks. I definitely would recommend.

Find the animals and the smell will lead you. Coming from O-HI-O, this was AMAZING. FINGER-LICKING good. It reminded me of school cafeteria serving method with sitting area available. I got double mac and pork ribs. Definitely returning.

First time here. I had the po boy sandwich and two sides. It was absolutely amazing. All 3 meats on my sandwich were delicious. I had mac and cheese and potato salad as my sides. They were incredible! I also got jalapenos, pickles, and onions for my sandwich as well! Absolutely delicious and good priced! The employees were super friendly and helpful. Alm around welcoming and great experience!! Cant wait to come back.

This is definitely a must place to dine in and enjoy some delicious BBQ when visiting Rockport. Everything was amazing from the potato salad, corn with cilantro and jalapeños, ribs (pork or beef), chicken, turkey, sausage, and brisket, get a 10 out of 10. You will not be disappointed!
