Went for 8 course tasting menu 125 a person, everything was delicious, they give you a a story too with each dish and you get to more know about the ingredients, people, and area. service was incredible best I’ve had in months. Jess, Brian (Mac), and I’m sorry I’m about to butcher your name, but Shwa? Were absolutely incredible, felt like family by end of the night. You won’t be disappointed with anything off the menu. Only 2 things I noticed, having 1 more meat focused dishes in the 8 courses would’ve been cool and the first 3 courses all took about 30-45 minutes each to come out and then the rest came flying after that. Could’ve been due to busyness but was something I noticed and wanted to keep the review honest, other than those 2. Everything is perfect and we will be back in a few months (hopefully sooner) and let the season change, thank you Chef!

The food at Mac’s is beyond incredible. Everything my husband and I tried was a unique and beautifully delicious experience. All of the menu items are fresh and delightful. We were thrilled to get to speak to the Owner/ Executive Chef and pastry chef tonight, and they could not have been more humble and kind. They aren’t just making food, they are truly taking you on a magical culinary ride and I am here for it!!!
Just to give you an example of just how amazing the food is, I proposed to my bread pudding and it turned me down because it said it could do better……and it wasn’t lying.

Update; the heirloom tomato special currently running is exceptional.
Original review: The atmosphere is a good attempt at rustic decor, and they have a meadery on-site. We were pleased with the level of comfort, and it put us in the right mood for our experience. 5 stars there.
Service was pretty much perfect. Knowledgeable on the menu and willing to pull the crafter over to answer our questions about Mead selections. Suggested their prix fix “date night” menu to my wife and I. It was a good selection of courses, but we had our eyes on some of the other dishes, so we declined. It was a good price point, however, so check it out. The bartender/Mead crafter offered us a flight option to sample all the meads on the menu, so we went with that.
This place has an ever-changing menu of locally sourced foodstuffs, so we chose Shishito peppers in labneh and tomato jam to start. Good, but not exceptional. It was a safe choice for us because we both knew we enjoyed shishitos. House-made pasta with ground lamb, pesto, cream, and herbs was the best thing I’ve eaten in a while. While most dishes will start off tasting amazing, your mouth usually gets tired of it at some point where it just tastes good but not like that first taste. This lamb pesto pasta was excellent from the first bite to the last. We also went with a chicken of the woods mushroom in grits with sorghum butter, mizuna, and flowers that was stellar in execution as well. We finished on the challah whiskey bread pudding with apples and frozen custard that was very good and satisfying but almost a letdown after the lamb pasta and chicken of the woods dishes. Those stood out. I can not recommend the lamb pesto pasta enough. It is now a craving, and I don’t get those often. I will have to attempt to duplicate it for myself.

My first time visiting. I had a pleasant time with the staff. They answered all my questions, asked what I thought about my food. The items arrived one at a time. Getting to the restaurant is easy. Parking is limited. Parking currently is gravel which could be a mobility issue. The atmosphere is for single adults, couples adults and small groups of adults. Not recommended for children or large groups (4 or 5 seats at one or two tables). Reservations preferred. Did accept my walk-in shortly after opening at 5pm. Spend about 60 minutes. Prices are good. Quality and presentation was fantastic. Menu currently is more vegetable plates, than protein plates. Will visit again.

We went here for the first time on Friday. The service was superb and the food was phenomenal. We ordered several things to try (and bring some home). Every single plate was absolutely delicious. I love how they bring you the check in old books and that their menu changes with what is seasonally available! I cannot wait to try their brunch!

This place is incredible. Tucked in a part of town that’s working on its own revitalization is this heaven on earth. Every meal, every menu, and the space will have you feeling full and genuinely happy. The menu rotates and nothing disappoints. Try it all. The wine selection is top notch too. Go here now.

Best food I’ve had since I can remember! Best restaurant I’ve been to in the Chattanooga area by far! There is so much love and care that goes into this food. I almost got emotional eating the pot roast as it reminded me of being with my family growing up in the fall. I recommend having it with the broccoli. Everything was perfect.

Splendid! We’ve been following Mac since his tent pop-ups in Highland Park. Every visit to Mac’s is absolutely brilliant. Thrilled to see the mushrooms from our friends at Gowin featured in many dishes. The trout and the brisket were impeccable. 10/10.

We went for brunch and the food was amazing! I could eat the mushroom toast every day, it was a great combination of earthy and sweet. Try the cranberry mimosas! I won’t be going back to orange juice ones any time soon. The duck fat gravy was so delicious, try it with the truffle fries!
