I visited Mac’s Industrial Sports Bar last night after a concert looking for a bite to eat and ordered the Juicy Lucy burger. The server did not ask how I wanted it cooked, so I assumed it would come well done. When my food arrived, I cut the burger in half and it was very pink. I prefer my burgers cooked through, and I did not like the taste.
The server did not check back after dropping the food, so I went to the bar to ask for him. I explained that I wanted it remade well done. For context, I had cut the burger in half and taken two bites from one side. He said okay and took the plate.
About three minutes later, he brought back the same half eaten burger, clearly the same piece I had cut, along with fries that were now cold. As someone who has worked in food and beverage for many years and currently supervise in a restaurant, I was honestly shocked. Once food has been served to a table and a guest has taken a bite, it should never be put back on the grill and re served. That is basic food safety practice.
After dropping the plate back off, he also mentioned that at this time of night they require a card on file. I have seen that policy for drinks at bars, but not simply when ordering food, and the timing of that comment felt odd.
We closed out and left shortly after. Unfortunately, this experience made me question the food handling standards in the kitchen. I would not recommend this place based on how this situation was handled.

How do you call in and specifically ask a supervisor a special request to not add meat or meat substitute….only to receive nothing but meat or meat substitute. Then I went through the process of refund only to have uber eats credit me $2 smh. These people charge waaaay too much for a manager to overlook a religious special request.

Have never had to eat a croque monsieur with a knife and fork before (some cheese on top is expected but not a thick slab like this one) but, that said, it was very tasty. Co-diner enjoyed the steak salad. Our server was fantastic – friendly, attentive, efficient.

I’ve had the wings a few times and some have been really good, some pretty disappointing, they have lots of other good food items though too and prices are very fair, but the service is always top notch and the crowd is usually pretty fun, probably the best place to watch a game I’ve been to in the city

I used to come through here all the time a few years ago, but I don’t think I’ll be back. I’ve personally never met a French fry I didn’t like to the point I wouldn’t eat, so this was a first. It was almost like they were stale and then dropped in the fryer, they came out a weird texture tasting like cardboard. The chicken strips & onion strings a little overdone but were okay. It would be a good place to grab a drink and watch a game, but I’d pass on the apps.

The Best Reuben in the Twin Cities. My Father and I made a trip to visit all the places in an article published in a newspaper featuring the best Reubens in the cities. This is one that sells out, so order it immediately when you sit down. The balance of meat to sauerkraut and cheese are absolutely perfect. The macaroni is better than almost any place I have been. It is not a tangy style, it is a smoother flavor. I love the wonderful service for the couple of times I have been. I think we tried 10 restaurants where they offered Reubens, this was the best. Voted: Best Reuben on The Official Reuben Tour.
