Fantastic mom & pop restaurant. The portions were generous and the seasoning is on point. Very welcoming environment, great music. We had the shrimp po boy, big shrimp dinner and okra. Their in house dressing is delicious. We’re looking forward to trying their other menu items.

Delicious! I stopped in for some okra and beignets… both amazing! Couldn’t stop thinking about it so had to come back a couple of days later to try the fish sandwich and mack and cheese. Great food and great service. Mrs. Mackey makes you feel like family. She has never met a stranger and is so wonderful.

What a great place! A wonderful family owned restaurant. Everything we tasted was excellent! My wife had a shrimp po’boy, I had the Jumbo Gumbo. We also got fried okra, and red beans and rice. Again everything was delicious and not too salty. Other “Authentic” New Orleans restaurants use extra salt instead of proper spicing. Not here at Mackey’s. We tried the peach mango bread pudding and the beignets for dessert. Again it all made our tastebuds dance! We will definitely be back!

My husband and I ate at Mackey’s for the first time today. It was incredible! We ordered the fried green tomatoes, jumbo gumbo, shrimp po’ boy and the beignets. The tomatoes were crispy and delicious with an amazing dipping sauce. The po’ boy was the best I’ve ever had, perfectly seasoned shrimp, on freshly made straight bustin’ bread. It was on point! The jumbo gumbo was straight fire! 3 different meats, rice & okra, simply amazing. Lastly the beignets, sooo damn good. Don’t sleep on those beignets!

Very good New Orleans style cooking. The staff and owners are very nice people and do their best to greet and converse with the customers. The food is outstanding. You must go and try the fried fish and one of the best shrimp Po boy sandwiches I have ever eaten. The Jambalaya is also good.

Orange Park area, right from walking in felt like we were family friends. Very welcome and accommodating, really great atmosphere, with a New Orleans theme the Mackey both spoke to us and were fun to talk to. The food was incredible and delicious. Very fair prices, no complaints at all. We will be back.

We were impressed. The fried green tomatoes were the best we ever had. The dipping sauce was delicious. The owners were so friendly and fun. My hubby’s poor boy was a nice size. The etoufee and jambalaya were some of the best I ever had. The beignets were perfect with lots of confectioners sugar. Totally recommend! Festive atmosphere too.

There are so many different food options to choose from. No matter what you get, you will not be disappointed. They come in perfect portions. Do not forget to top your meal off with some of their delicious beignets.
While this food is amazing, their service was even better. You most certainly will leave with a smile on your face. This place is the embodiment of souther hospitality. Definitely worth the stop.

All I can say is WOW! My husband & I finally tried Mackey’s Munchies. Everything we had was delicious! But the 2 things that were stand outs to me were the fresh fried okra and the red beans & rice! Some of the best I’ve ever had. And for dessert you MUST get the fresh beignets. They were warm, pillowy soft. I didn’t get a pic of those because we were too busy stuffing our faces with them. Other things pictured are the Gumbo Jumbo, Shrimp Po Boy & bread pudding. I recommend ALL of it. We will definitely be back to try more things!

Great experience at Mackey’s! The family that owns it is friendly and makes you feel so welcome. We tried three types of Po boys (chicken, shrimp, and fish), the gumbo, red beans and rice and some beignets for dessert. Everything was delicious! I definitely recommend getting the large order of red beans and rice. You won’t regret it. The beignets are amazing too- you’ll need more than one order for sure.
