Overall, it was not a horrible experience. Just leaving this review to speak toward quality assurance and a small area of growth regarding customer service. The pizza was delicious! However, I ordered a salad and there were pieces of tarnished lettuce throughout. I brought it to my waiters attention and he simply apologized. It seemed like there was nothing but young adults/ teenagers operating the establishment on a Saturday night. It would have been comforting if a manager had came out to formerly apologize and assure the quality of food leaving the Kitchen or even offered a fresher salad.

While there has been multiple times my order has been incorrect, so much that I only do pick up and call in to ensure accuracy, this past time manager Riley shook my hand and promised to ensure no more mistakes. The senior community where I live had a Pizza and Movie night on Friday, January 23rd. It was our first time having this kind of event. We chose Maciano’s for the pizza and it was the best choice we could have made. The entire experience was positive. I had the pleasure of dealing with Riley who assisted me with placing the order. She suggested the best deal possible to get the most out of the money collected. Delivery was on time and the pizza’s were hot and delicious. We hope to have more Pizza parties in the future and Maciano’s will definitely be our choice.

I called the first time was on hold for almost nine minutes, called the second time she took my order without placing me on hold never came back to the phone for the first phone call. Eating the angel hair spaghetti with vodka cream sauce extra sauce get home to find part of the onion peel in my food.

Today, December 21, 2025 Maciano’s had a very hardworking and kind crew. As I walked in to pick up my food, it was evident they were working their butts off in the back, at the counter and in the dining area. My food took a long time to make, but it was because they had large parties in the dining area, limited staff doing multiple jobs and many take out orders. I became an observer at this point waiting for my food. I could hear their hustle in the back, see their customer service in the front and their attitude continue to be great… even when a few customers were not. The smiles and kindness continued. It was a good feeling to see the ones working motivate each other and help one another out and get through an obviously stressful time. Great job guys!!!! And Merry Christmas….

I’ve been purchasing the baked lasagna with meat sauce for over a decade. Ingredients changed…this tasted like nothing special, and chunks of beef were in the sauce. I also ordered the chicken salad and was very disappointed with the bacon. This used to be be made with real, crumbled bacon. It’s now made with what tastes and looks like bulk foodservice bacon bits. Nothing special about either. Please bring back your HIGH QUALITY ingredients. I won’t be ordering again.

I called to place and order for delivery . It took me 17 min just to place an order because the girl kept putting me on hold. I gave two coupon codes and thought my total was a lot. Then was put on hold another lady picked up and I said I’m trying to understand why my total is over 50 dollars. And then she said please hold I said ok. She never explained to me why the total was the way it was. Then the same girl who started my order picked up the call. I asked can you please give me the break down of what costs what and what the total is before tax. I also asked if there was a delivery fee and she said can you hold. I said no just make sure there’s a copy or the receipt. The fact that something that should take 5 min maybe to order took 17 min. Also; the fact that neither one of them explained the break down or the costs and what the total is. I also asked for cheese and red pepper packets and which I never received.
The cheese pizza was reallly good, the breadsticks were good, the wings were ok they were kinda cold when we went to eat them which was the first thing we wanted to try. The veggie pizza wasn’t bad it was just hard to eat because every time we went to pick a piece of pizza up, all th cheese and toppings fall off so it was a challenge to eat.

It’s one of the best Chicago style pizzas ever. Even my wife, who doesn’t care for it, loved it.
Since we live on the East Coast, it’s difficult to get the real thing, so we always make sure to try different places when we travel through IL.

First time here. What a cute little place to eat a very good pizza. Journey was our server. She was great. Our friends had pasta dishes with one with shrimp and one with a seafood melody. They said is was delicious. The only issue with this place is that the kitchen is slow. Other than that . Just sit back enjoy the wine.
