This is honestly one of the worst places I’ve had the misfortune of dining at. The salsa taste like tomato soup. Green salsa had no flavor. The rice that came with my food was literally white rice. What I couldn’t figure out, was how they were able to make the barbacoa AND adobo sauce taste like nothing. The chips were good and the soda was carbonated. That’s it. Only things worth mentioning. Maybe change the name to: Macho Tequilas and Crapo Food. Don’t eat here, don’t even slow down as you’re driving by. You could definitely make something better at home.

Delicious food the service was amazing. The margaritas were wonderful. The homemade tequila was out of this world. Will be back. Was definitely a hidden gem and Danny boy was unserpassed! Now I don’t want everyone to go there and ruin it for us

WOW! My husband and I stumbled upon Macho Tequilas after our original plan to hit the Korean wing spot next door fell through—turns out they weren’t open during the hours listed, and I was a little salty at first. But then my husband suggested, “How about we try this Mexican place next door?” I figured, why not? We’re already here.

And oh. my. goodness. Best decision ever! I am SO thankful the wing place was closed! The food at Macho Tequilas was absolutely phenomenal! The albondigas soup was hands down the best I’ve had outside of my Mexican mother-in-law’s kitchen. It was comforting, flavorful, and just hit the spot in every way. My husband went with the chicken mole, and it was equally delicious—tender chicken drenched in a rich, perfectly balanced sauce that had just the right amount of depth and sweetness.

This place is an authentic hidden gem. If you’re in the area, you need to check it out. Oh, and don’t even think about leaving without trying the flan—it was the perfect end to our meal, rich and silky with just the right amount of sweetness.

In short, Macho Tequilas is a must-try! Trust me, you won’t regret it.

I get chili Verde and a margarita at every Mexican restaurant I go to, it’s one of my favorite things and I’ve probably had it at close to 100 restaurants across the country. I can honestly say this was one of the worst ones I’ve ever had. The Verde was bland, no flavor and the very few pieces of meat that were in there were basically all fat. Very small portion for $20. Margarita wasn’t too bad. There are numerous places in Reno with better Mexican food, it’s worth driving a few extra minutes to anywhere else. This was my first and last time. Very disappointed because it’s the closest to my house

The staff was friendly and happy. The food was AMAZING!! Their carne asada was tender and full of flavor, salsas also had great flavor and good kick. Everything was delicious, fresh, and served hot. The restaurant was clean and you could smell food from outside. Oh, and the Micheladas hit the spot! New favorite spot in Sparks.

Macho Tequilas in Sparks seemed like a good option for a family Mexican dinner, but our experience was disappointing. We were the only customers in the restaurant the entire time, which made the place feel empty.

The food overall had very little flavor, and most of my family did not finish their meals. Two of us also experienced stomach discomfort shortly after eating. The restaurant itself was clean, but the underwhelming food quality combined with the empty dining room made the visit less enjoyable.

If you’re considering this place for dinner, it may be worth trying other local Mexican restaurants first, as our experience left us dissatisfied.

Review: if you like spicy food, get the Spicy Macho Diablo burrito. Nice place & the server was friendly. The food was pretty good & portions were good as well. The price point was fair as well. Was a nice & clean restaurant; would recommend.

My friend has always raved about this place & I’ve been wanting to try it. Well, we finally all met up for lunch here. What a great experience!!! I had the shredded beef chimichunga and it was so delicious . Their guacamole is one of the best I have ever had! So yummy!! My two friends and I had Mango Margaritas and WOW… what a great Margarita (made perfectly with such amazing flavors). I also really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. If you’re looking for a new place to try, you MUST try Macho Tequilas. I highly recommend it.

First visit to Macho Tequilas tonight. Not busy fortunately because there was only one person working the tables and bar. He was very efficient and nothing was lacking in the service department.

I tried the chili verde. Not spicy at all but very flavorful. The was some veggies added and that added to the flavor profile. It was interesting and I found it a pleasant meal.

The wife had fish tacos. She thought the tacos were well prepared and delicious.

The interior was a little busy with the Christmas decor but still clean.

Really good mexican food. Tucked in a small shopping center about a block off the main road. Everything from the chips and salsa to the margaritas, to the main course was good. Been several times and will continue.
