I walked over here to try something new as I was sick of fast food working on the road. I was greeted and seated right when I walked in and had some water and a drink order in quickly. I ordered some brisket potato skins while evaluating the rest of the menu and those things were amazing! I was stuck between two items and my waitress helped me pick and it was a phenomenal choice and huge! Also one of the BEST loaded baked potatoes I’ve had in a long time, actually made with care and not just tossed together. Definitely bring your appetite as there is no shortage of food here. Also their “applesauce” reminds me of Apple pie filling . My waitress, Cheyenne was awesome! The Appleton area is sleeping on this place! I cannot believe it wasn’t packed!! I will definitely be back again!
Update 9/9/2025 I went back again to try something different. I started with the potato skins because those were fantastic and they did not disappoint this time either! Then I went with the shed burger and some fries. The burger was cooked perfectly to the medium I requested, the brisket topping the already sizable burger added a level of texture and flavor that just elevated the meal to the next level. I really enjoyed the crispy fries but I’ll be honest I was pretty much stuffed by the time I hit those . Again fantastic service will continue to visit here during my work visits!

Started our meal with a brownie sundae and it set up the perfect starter for my Rueben sandwich. Karri was the best server and food came out quick. Will definitely be back.

Never been to this restaurant but thought I would try it while in town. I was greeted and sat at my table promptly. The server was very pleasant and the food was yummy. I also liked the small store inside. Only gave 4 stars due to lack of variety of vegetables served with the dinners. Would have been nice to have some green beans or broccoli.

Stopped by Machine Shed in Appleton on a Saturday evening, and overall it was a solid experience. The server was very friendly. The bread at the start of the meal was excellent a nice way to kick things off. The lemonade, though… extremely sweet, almost like sugar water, so not really my thing.
For my meal, I went with the country fried chicken with sweet potato fries and green beans. The chicken was perfect juicy, well cooked, and served in a very generous portion. The sweet potato fries were awesome! The green beans were basic, nothing particularly memorable, but they did the job.
There was about a 15-minute wait for a table, which is totally reasonable for a Saturday night in Appleton. All in all, a satisfying meal with friendly service and some standout items I’d definitely come back

Our experience was wonderful, mostly because our waitress was so wonderful. We had Julia as our waitress, who went above and beyond to care for us, as I have a severe food allergy. At the very mention of me having an allergy, she understood the importance of the situation and was immediately super attentive and helpful. Not only did she tell me the brand, she gave me an actual ingredient list to ensure I was safe. The food was good, and the peace of mind that I had (judgement free and without me having to beg for help), really made this trip incredible.

Our server was fantastic!!! Usually when we take our toddler to any meal out nobody notices her or speaks to her. The server asked about whipped cream on the pancakes and we told her on the side and she was very happy to do so! First time being here and we will definitely return!

Will not be the last time I visit this restaurant! The food was amazing as you can see from the pictures. I had the stuffed Iowa chop. Definitely a meal for two. Each piece was at least an inch thick. I was ready for bed after having this meal. Small honey feeling vibe as soon as you walk in the door. Service was just as amazing, Jen my server was on point and always checked on me. If you’re a local or passing through make sure to stop in and have some food, you will not be disappointed and it will not break your wallet!

Plowman – Home made corn beef hash is phenomenal, veggie skillet was very good too. Charming atmosphere, friendly and accommodating staff. Went in for a pick up and the individual working up front was on the phone. Had a waitress come and check on me while I waited, gentlemen on the phone greeted and assisted me right away after the phone call. Very impressed, we will be back.

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise! When we drove by it, we thought it was closed. Our hotel person told us it was open and very good, so we gave it a try. (The door is actually in the back.) I will say that their chicken fried chicken is the best I’ve ever had! The chicken was moist and the crust was delicious! Stephanie, our waitress, took very good care of us. All the sides were yummy and plentiful.

We stopped in for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon.
We are from out of town and were on vacation. We had done some research and had five options to choose from. No one wanted to pick so we literally rolled dice to decide and ended up at the Machine Shed.
I am so glad we did. We kept our meals simple and ordered the shed burger and regular fries and hand breaded chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. We were served two dinner rolls and cornbread plus we chose applesauce and coleslaw for our fixins.
Oh my! All the food was fresh and delicious – the applesauce literally tasted like it came out of a pie! The cornbread was melt in your mouth good.
We wish we had another day in the area for another meal but now that we know about the other locations, we will keep an eye out for them!
Considering the restaurant wasn’t very busy the service could have been a wee bit faster. That being said – I realize we were in a kind of weird location that could easily get looked over.
Other than having to wait a few for our bill our server was awesome.
Highly recommended and would happily search a visit out again in the future if in the vicinity of this one or another of the locations.
