The service was amazing. She was pleasant, quick, available, and got our order correct.

While quick and fresh, the food was hit or miss.

Tortilla soup was very good. Lots of huge chunks of chicken and lots of fresh avocado.

The chips were fresh and crispy. Super thin how I like them. My husband did not care for how thin they were.

The hit sauce was decent. The salsa has decent flavor but was way to liquidy. Needs chunks in it.

Kids kraft Mac and cheese was standard. Fries were under cooked. Ranch was meh.

Chile relleno was very small. I’m glad I got the sauce on the side because it was gross.

The enchilada trio was eh. The insides simply didn’t matter or stand out. Surprisingly, we did not like the green sauce at all. The red sauce was not good. The Baja sauce, was by far the best thing we had.

The iced tea was fresh. Pricing was good.

We won’t be back, mainly because there are better options in the vicinity. But service was top notch and worth mentioning again.

My friend invited me out to lunch at this spot and I really enjoyed it. Super cute decor and the food was good. I don’t drink anymore, but my friend mentioned they have an affordable margarita flight if that’s your thing. They also offer a rewards program you can join, which is a nice perk. Chips and salsa come out complimentary, and the chips were freshly made Service was great and overall a really good experience. Would definitely come back.

The food was excellent and the service was even better! Our waitress was super plesant and our food came out within 10 minutes after ordering! I would highly recommend the fried Ice cream – it was so good I forgot to take picture before digging in.

As always the food was really good. The service was great. We came in for a pickup order and 2 different staff members asked what we were there for. As soon as we told them the went to the kitchen to see if it was complete. 10 mins of waiting and the food was hot and fresh. Everything was exactly as ordered. I have been coming to this Macayo’s for 20 years If I can remember correctly. I dont think I have ever had a true bad experience. If you have never been here you need to give it a chance.

By far the worst Mexican food I’ve ever eaten. 0 exaggeration. We both ordered the Chimichanga with shredded beef. “Where’s the beef??” When I pressed my fork to cut into it.. it deflated. Just like a popped balloon it was now flat. I would say approximately 3 tablespoons of beef. Same for hers. Taste wise, everything was bad…really bad.Rice was ridiculously dry. Refried beans looked like dry mud and the little beef it had tasted like cheap hot sauce. We both decided to give this place a try because it looks nice from the outside. Well.. it’s the biggest front you’ll experience. If it weren’t for my girlfriend, you wouldn’t of gotten a dime out of me. That’s cafeteria Mexican food. I can go to my Filobertos drive thru and their chimichanga is 3x the size of yours packed with beef and it tastes great. To whomever reads this, do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. This place is horrible! At no point did our server ask if we liked our food or anything. She most already know. If I could a negative 4 stars, you’d be that place that earned it very well.

Got it delivered. Over $3 for a 3 oz container of guacamole that has 1 ounce one it. Tacos are miserable tasting and looking. Where are the toppings to go in my $17 tacos? Why are the tortillas missing? I don’t recommend this place in any capacity.

Update. YUCK!

We are regulars there and once again on our take out order you shorted us on Baja sauce. I talked to a manager today on 2/25/26. I went back in the restaurant from my vehicle and explained the issue and she said “Im sorry, you need to pay extra for the sauce” I’ve had more frosting on a cupcake than sauce on your foods. It was a $29.00 and it was like pulling teeth for extra Baja sauce.
Back in May of 2025 spent over $700 on a surprise birthday party there but I won’t spend $7.00 there now. Oh, by the way, shredded beef chimi needs to fill the torilla . You people are getting cheap on portions and hired help. I will be in contact with corporate on there hiring .

I’m very pleased with my catering experience with Macayo’s! Everything was smooth and timely, from the ordering to pick up. The food was fresh and prepared nicely. The manager, Armando, was amazing with making sure we had all of the necessary things, like utensils, napkins, and salsa. He was very helpful and personable and made the experience super easy. I would recommend this restaurant to others and wouldn’t hesitate to use them in the future!

Went here for a late Mother’s Day dinner with my two daughters. We sat on the patio by choice. It was nice outside. So we did expect a little bit of a wait as one normally wait a little longer when you choose to sit on the patio. However, it was about 45 minutes from the time we sat down until someone came to take our order- then after placing the order, it was another almost 40 minutes until we got our food- we didn’t order much only tamale bites appetizer to two cheese crisps one side of black beans, one side of rice, and a shredded beef burrito. They were out of Baja sauce, but the server did try to make a different sauce recommendation to go with the tamale bites. Typically it comes with Baja sauce not a huge deal . However It shouldn’t have taken more than maybe 15 minutes to make the food that we ordered. The server was very nice but seemed very stressed and it looked like she may have been the only person serving not entirely sure but I didn’t see other servers. We ordered two sodas and lemonade which usually come with free refills, when our food finally came out, our drinks were and had been empty for at least 20 minutes or so- the server did offer a refill which we said absolutely please- halfway through finishing our food, the drink refills finally came back- about another 20 minutes later. By that time, we were ready to go, asked for boxes, which took another 10 minutes. The server was very nice. Did apologize for the wait several times I still gave her a big tip because she looked very stressed out and I didn’t want to take it out on her. The fact that the restaurant seemed understaffed.

The food was some of the worst food I’ve ever had at a Macayos. I have been going to this restaurant- not this location though- literally for 20 years. Never have I had food as bad as it was. The cheese crisps had no flavor whatsoever and were both basically burnt. The rice seemed like two day old rice that had been microwaved. The beans had no seasoning at all. And look like they came straight out out of a can. My daughter only ate three bites of her burrito before saying she didn’t want anymore She said the shredded beef was chewy and didn’t taste right. I was tempted to send the food back but after already being there for two hours, we were ready to go. I didn’t wanna wait any longer. I am not sure how this Macayo’s location is so much worse than any other location I have been to- and I have been to every other location in the west valley. Hopefully it was just an off day for them, but being the day after Mother’s Day, you would think that they would be properly staffed as a lot of people are going out to eat, and you would think that the food would be good and fresh not old and burnt. Very disappointed that I spent $60 on this food about $80 with the $20 tip that I left. But I didn’t want the server to be punished because the cooks don’t know how to make food or because the management doesn’t staff correctly. We literally ate a quarter of our food. Here is a picture for reference of how bad the cheese crisp is burnt and what the black beans looked like, very, very disappointed. The only thing that tasted halfway good was the tamale bites.

Arrived at 715pm with a 15min wait. The staff was very friendly. Server was on top of the refills. Chips and salsa were great. I order the steak fajita with a side of shrimp. The food came out sizzling on a hot plate. The flavor was rich and tasted amazing. I would return for the fajita. Next I want to try the original Chimi.
