Dropped a hundred bucks here, and it barely fed 3 people. Service is counter-based, with what looked like just one person juggling orders and cooking. The ‘Pick 2’ baskets? More like half of each basket. Burgers were priced between $11+ and $17+, each—and that’s with one side, though most sides were out of stock. When asked, they kept blaming it on the ‘off-season.’
The food? Average at best. Definitely not worth the price. I won’t be back, and I can’t recommend it. Save your money.

Mabel’s is an adorable spot serving burgers and shakes off Virginia Avenue that’s open every day.
Parking: free, off-street parking right out front and nearby. There’s also a parking lot across the street.
Bathrooms: One single room bathroom is available to customers. It was clean and everything worked when I used it.
Space: lots of table seating indoors.
Food: I only tried a shake today. I got a classic chocolate shake with peanut butter added, it was thick, rich and had great taste. They gave me a standard plastic straw, but I think a wider milkshake straw would make it a much better experience to enjoy. I ended up scooping the milkshake out with my straw.
Service: The staff working was courteous and my order was accurate. It took about 7 minutes to make my shake.

Over expensive food, had a messed up order, on top of that some food was even cold.
I really wanted to love this place and be a go to spot.
But with the experience I sadly cannot say I recommend this place. We ordered two hot dogs and fries for one order, the hot dogs came out not what we ordered, they were able to give us the toppings for us to add on that was missing, but the hot dogs were not cooked all the way through with it being cold on the inside. We also got a Ruben that was okay nothing special. We also got an ice cream sundae that was probably most okay thing with what we ordered. We got that and two drinks total was $64. If you go here just be mindful about this place.

Absolutely nothing short of amazing! Fast, unique, delicious! Burgers are definitely all beef and hand made. The shakes are incredible. Everyone was so friendly! I was super impressed with how quick and organized everything was on opening day. What a great addition to Clarksville & all of South Central VA – Biggs Island, Kerr Resevoir and Mecklenburg Co are so lucky to have this great choice!

Found this place on Google and decided to try on a whim. Easy to get to and there is lots of street parking in Clarksville. My daughter’s and I came for the interesting dessert but ended up eating lunch as well. The Patty melt and the Pioneer were on point.. a lot bigger than I was prepared for. We ended up trying two sundaes Oreo and Cookie Dough. Everything was very good, but the reason for only 4star was because they were out of a lot ingredients for the desserts. Can’t wait to come back just for a milkshake or the wafflecone nachos!

Terrible food and terrible customer service. If you like candy in wrappers stuffed into your milkshake then this is your place! But if you like your candy already unwrapped like the rest of population this isn’t the place.
Candy milk shakes are over prices and the candy bars are still in wrappers, you have to pull the candy bar unwrap it your self, causes a mess but also isn’t sanitary to have a plastic wrapper in your food! It smells of old grease inside.

I contacted the owner via email and was told they will refund my money and they stated they are in process of changing some things.

Burgers were really average at best. 1 tomato end slice & 1 pickle chip. Home made chips overcooked but must have been cooked in oil that previously burned something. Lackluster service, cell phones seemed more important. I hope the owners see this and up their game.

Walked in at 6:25, was not greeted but instead treated like an annoyance by a girl with colorful hair and makeup. Google says the establishment does not close until 8 but we were very quickly told they close at 7. While taking our order the girl kept rolling her eyes and scoffing at our simple orders, which we made as simple as possible because we felt the need to considering how they were acting and how we were being treated. Food was okay but honestly didn’t make up for the terrible treatment me and my family experienced:)

We went in August 30th at 6:30 because their website said they closed at 8pm. We walked in and there were 2 employees and were told they close at 7 but one girl said we could order as she hasn’t cleaned the grill. The other girl was not happy and made it very obvious as she took our order and clacked her nails on the screen angrily and was very short with us. I asked for a banana milkshake and she snapped back they didn’t have bananas so I chose to not get one with her attitude and tone! She was the one who made the shakes my family ordered and slammed every single thing she touched making it know our business wasn’t wanted. The other girl making the food was very nice and brought our meal and we apologized to her that we thought they closed later and she said she didn’t mind making the food, they had just both worked a double shift and had been busy which is understandable but the other girl’s attitude was not. She made it clear she didn’t want us there! While we were eating another family came in, and when she heard the door she shouted something about being ready to snap but they ordered ice cream and got the same attitude, when the man finished his he asked where the trash can was and she told him to sit it on the counter because they had already taken the trash out because they were supposed to be closed. Now in my experience, if you close at 7:00 typically orders are taken until than. This girl was ready to leave before that and didn’t plan on helping anymore paying customers. A business will either thrive or tank based on employees interactions with customers. We had decided than and there we wouldn’t be returning because of her so they lost a customer based on 1 employee. We were at the lake for a week and every time we went by it looked like a ghost town there, we took our business to the other ice cream place a few store down where they were friendly and that seemed to be where everyone else went too! I see they’ve temporarily closed on Facebook and when I let them know nicely how our visit went, they deleted my comment and blocked me so I will never go to the Powhatan location ever again either which we have frequently visited. I figured it was possibly poor management at this location but it seems like it’s poor ownership at this point! A simple “ sorry you had a bad experience that day, give us another shot!” Would have been nice but here we are.

After a previous visit that that left me dissatisfied the owner responded, apologized, and asked that I give them another try. We did. The bacon cheeseburger was very good. I do think they should be a little more generous with the bacon on the burgers. The fries were tasty, and the chocolate shake was old fashioned good. They doll their shakes up a lot, so I ordered mine plain, no whipped crème and no cherry.
Portions were generous, the dining area was clean, and the service was timely.
