Let me start with the positive — the ambience and seating are excellent. The place looks beautiful, well-decorated, and thoughtfully designed. The overall vibe is very inviting and comfortable. If I had to rate purely based on atmosphere, it would easily be 4.5/5.
However, unfortunately, the food did not match the setting.
The biggest issue was that almost everything was served cold. For a lunch service, we expected fresh and hot food, but the Undhiyu Puri, Thalis, Dabeli, Sandwich — everything felt like it had been sitting out. We even mentioned that certain items were supposed to be hot, but nothing was really done about it. The response was just a casual acknowledgment with no corrective action.
The Lilva Kachori was especially disappointing. The outer layer seemed cooked, but the inside was doughy and felt undercooked/raw. You could clearly tell the inner layer wasn’t properly done.
For the Gujarati Daily Thali and Royal Gujarati Thali, when we asked what curries would be included, we were told chole curry. But when the plates came out, it turned out to be black-eyed peas curry instead. That mismatch itself was confusing. The thalis had variety, but temperature and flavor really affected the experience. The thali included a churma ladoo, which tasted stale — almost like old dalda with a plasticky aftertaste, as if it had been stored for too long.
The Maanki Special Sandwich was underwhelming — it was basically dabeli masala with paneer inside. Nothing particularly special about it.
The Katka Dabeli was average but again cold, which affected texture and taste.
We also had masala chaas with the thalis, and it was extremely bland. We had specifically requested medium spice food. We regularly eat medium spice, but it usually still has flavor and balance. Here, everything tasted under-seasoned and lacking salt. I’m not sure if the cold temperature reduced the flavor perception, but overall the food was very bland.
The tea was served cold the first time and had to be sent back to be reheated.
The Mango Lassi was okay, but that was one of the few things that didn’t disappoint.
What was more concerning is that later in the day, everyone in our group felt very bloated. A few people even experienced stomach upset. None of us ate anything else after this lunch, so it was clearly linked to this meal. That was quite disappointing and worrying.
It’s unfortunate because the place looks amazing and has such potential. But what’s the use of a beautiful setup if the food quality, temperature, and overall execution are lacking? We genuinely wanted to enjoy authentic Gujarati food, but this visit did not meet expectations.
I hope the management focuses on serving food fresh, hot, and properly seasoned, and ensures better quality control moving forward.
One more thing, they have outdoor seating during warmer weather and you can bring your dog, score!
Also ordered the Bombay Bhel (a crunchy salad) and Lilva Kachori (like a croque).
They can also make vegan thali.
I will be going back.
The staff were warm and welcoming, and what really stands out every time is how everything is made fresh by the chef/owner — you can truly taste the love and care in every bite.
I tried the Friday Special: Khadivadi Thali, something completely new to me — and it was absolutely excellent! Every dish was bursting with the right flavors, textures, colors, and just the perfect balance.
The menu is so well thought out (Chef/Founder : Kinjal) , with balanced options that feel both comforting and exciting. It’s clear that a lot of heart and planning goes into every plate.
Not to mention the decor was amazing which takes you to Gujarat
Incredible food, great vibes, and the best company — the perfect Friday combo!
We ordered aalu paratha for my kid which was really soft like North Indian style but my kid didn’t like the taste of it. And we also ordered Chole channa poori thaali which includes 4 poori, chana masala, little papad pieces, some salad. Chole was delicious. And last we ordered masala tea. It was served in kullad which I really liked it.
The OG combo of Amurti Puri Thali with mango pulp was a perfect combination.
Great Ambience and Service
