Excellent local dishes with terrific regional wines. Some very good advice on wines and food from the proprietor.
Very tasty terrine, escargots, tartare, good atmosphere, all from the dedicated small team. The spend was high due to the choice of fantastic Premier cru

Had the asparagas cold soup, chicken main and the fish main as well as the dessert rum cake. Overall great food. Fish is much more refined than the chicken (that’s why everybody ordered the fish) and the sauce was sophisticated and flavorful. Don’t order rum cake for your kid but adults enjoyed it.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday, accompanied by two teenagers and my father. The service was outstanding, the food arrived quickly, was very tasty, and beautifully presented. The wine was among the best I’ve ever tasted. The atmosphere was very enjoyable. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates French cuisine!

The food was nice and the waitress was kind. This is not my kind of place, as I believe it’s a great hype around it, the ingredients are quite simple but it’s very pricey so not really worth it (also, you have only 2 menu choices). We felt a bit rushed at the beginning, as we would’ve like more time choosing the desert, but you need to make your choice from the start. In addition , it’s the only restaurant in France that didn’t offer us a water carafe.

Worth a detour, booking essential.
Fantastic, fresh food, excellent wines, stellar service, all at reasonable prices. Gilles recently completely renovated the restaurant and changed the concept. Now a warm, convivial space with classic Burgundian dishes updated for discerning palates. You can share dishes or order individually, everything we tried was fantastic! Special bonus: one of the only outstanding restaurants in the area that is open *Sunday* and *Monday* nights and offering service after 9pm. The only flaw is that it’s not closer to my home!!

If you go for the quenelle sauce alone, you won’t be disappointed.

I have too many good things to say about this place. We came because the restaurant was highly recommended and the owner’s character shines through even his Google review replies but the high quality of food and wine pairings won us over completely.

We ordered the charcuterie board, quenelle (did I mention the sauce?), oeufs meurette (if I had a French grandmother, this is how I wish she would cook) and finally a coupe of homemade strawberry ice cream (with delicious berries and cream), a Breton biscuit and a chocolate ganache.

I’m not a wine expert but we really enjoyed the coup de cremant, red and white wine and Marc de Bourgogne brandy.

Finally, I think wanted to say that our waitress had the perfect touch. She made us feel welcome, recommended great wine and was a pleasure to talk to, en anglais to boot, since our French is embarrassing.

We would recommend this to our friends in a heartbeat.

We dropping in for lunch after a walk around Macon. Tables and chairs outside, where we had coffee after lunch in the sunshine. A surprisingly small dining room so book in advance as it is popular. They found us a table and with two non meat eaters and a vegan they took up the challenge to serve us a superb lunch, a glass of delicious wine perfectly matched the food. Fantastic service, quality, presentation and it won’t break the bank! I will definitely go back and thoroughly recommended it.
