The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was fast and delicious! We wanted to find cuisine in line with traditional southern food and we were not disappointed. The fried chicken was perfect, the green beens were so good and the yams were sweet and delicious! My daughter typically doesn’t like sweet potatoes but she devoured the sweet potato waffles and wanted more. Although the burger looked tasty, it was a little too salty and the outside layer had a bit of a burnt aftertaste from being overcooked and we did not eat more than 2 bites. Other than that, everything we ordered (even the fries) were perfect. The entire wait staff were very helpful anytime we asked for assistance but that’s also because our server had to go between upstairs and downstairs and definitely needed to support.

We were lucky not to need a reservation because it had been a stormy day and they were not as busy as the previous day when we passed by during the same time.

The only reason I gave this place a 4 instead of 5 is because we ordered a wine flight and beer when we arrived but that didn’t come until after our food came. We actually had to remind our server about it when she came to check on the food delivered and she informed us that the she would check on it with the bartender who should have had it out.

I went 2/14 got there about 1:30pm reservations were at 1:15pm. Walked in gave the name reservation was under. The young lady states the party was not there I said yes she is I parked behind her. Young lady said well I will sit you up stairs so ok. Walked up and there was the party. So I asked for a flight of mimosas was told we can’t do because it’s busy, but 2 other people came in behind me and got them. I ordered the sweet potato waffles and biddie that came with pieces of potato. Looks just like the red velvet waffle and baddie. The shrimp and grits looked good. Red velvet on the left

The atmosphere was magical – with the exception of the ridiculously loud music. My daughter was told there was no way we could eat, that the waiting list was so long they wouldn’t add anyone to it. We could eat on the patio or get an order to go. I looked at the restaurant from the car and asked my family (of 4) to go in with me.
I walked in, and there was a table for 4 empty in front of me, 2 tables for 2 up against the wall, and a few bar stools open. The upstairs was dark. It was 5:34.
I asked it there were seats available. The hostess/manager said we could sit outside, at the bar, or divide our group and sit against the wall. I asked for the table for 4, she said it wasn’t available. We decided to take the two tables and have the girls sit by themselves.
The restaurant was gorgeous, the wait-staff very friendly and welcoming.
The table we sat at wobbled. A lot.
There were always 3-5 waiters, waitresses standing and talking rather than waiting on anyone. 3 of us wanted to have chicken sandwiches. Our waiter, very nice, went in the kitchen and found out we couldn’t order the grilled chicken. They had run out of spices. ??????, that we’d have to have the fried chicken sandwiches. When we agreed to that, he disappeared again for minutes – stopping to fill glasses at another table on the way – came back and told us that they had ran out of chicken.
They RAN OUT OF CHICKEN AND SPICES???
We ordered 2 burgers and a fish and chip plate.
The fish was so overcooked it was soggy. It was not appealing at all. The burgers were fine, though my french fries had a hint of fish – fried in the same oil perhaps?
I couldn’t eat half my burger. The girls ate theirs.
We’ve been wanting to try the restaurant since they opened, well, we can say that we did. But we won’t be going back. Friendly people, absolutely. Gorgeous restaurant, 100%. But the food just didn’t work for us. I hope it does for you if you try it yourselves.
– Oh. And the table for 4? It was still empty when we left. Yeah. So there’s that.

Ma Daisy Porch is a hidden gem!!!!

We had no idea we had to reserve a table in order to be seated, but the owner Kordea (forgive me for the spelling) gave us grace and seated us.

The owner was hospitable toward us and willing to ask the kitchen to take us as the last guest for the night. Our waitress was Katy and she did a great job assisting us with all our needs.

-We asked for the vegan chicken sandwiches and with bourbon Yams with fried okra. The Vegan Chicken was really good. The yams were good

-One friend had 10 wings w/ a Gullah Geechee sauce known as the “house sauce” that was out of this world good!!

-Another friend had the fried whitening w/ collard dip. The whitening was two large pieces w/ fries. She loved every bit. The dip was very tasty .

* Overall this restaurant was beautiful, romantic and down to earth. There’s a place everywhere for everyone at this restaurant.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! The food was phenomenal, the service was stellar and all the staff that stopped by the table were genuinely kind. If you come for brunch, you have to try the biscuits and sweet potato butter – if I could have bathed in it, I would have. The biscuits were clearly from scratch and like so light and fluffy we had to get an order to take home. I praised the food to everyone I passed outside and told them how great it was. We made sure to visit onsite bakery, market and cultural center. Truly a wonderful experience

Went to Ma Daisy’s Porch and the aesthetic was a 10/10 absolutely beautiful spot!

Let’s start with the drinks: we ordered the lemon drop flight (3 drinks for $35). The flavor was good, but the glasses were so tiny, it basically felt like one drink split into three. Definitely not worth the price for the portion.

Now the food… honestly 4/10.
I had the chicken & waffles, the waffle was dry, though the fried chicken itself had a nice flavor.
My sister ordered a salad, but the lettuce was really bitter.
My fiancé got shrimp & grits and specifically asked for grilled shrimp, but they mixed both grilled and fried shrimp together.

The restaurant is beautiful, and our server did a great job, but the food quality needs improvement. We’re not complaining about the price it just wasn’t worth it for the portions and taste. Hoping they step it up, because the place has so much potential.

This was an experience. We just arrived to our Airbnb when we hear live music playing. We put our things down, walked to the corner and there it was, inviting and relaxing atmosphere. We had no reservations, got seated inside very quickly (after 8pm).The host was gracious or server was friendly and informative. Her recommendation on our drinks was right on the spot. The meal was flavorful and delicious (creamy grits with fried whiting and shrimp) it literally melted in your mouth. The next morning we experienced the bakery (behind the restaurant) where we enjoyed our muffins (blueberry, chocolate and lemon poppyseed). Our travel itinerary did not give us time to explore the museum, but that’s why we have to come back and bring more family members with us. If this establishment is a reflection of Bluffton SC, then it is has done an outstanding job. Thank you Ma Daisy’s Porch.

We went on a Saturday about 11:30, and ordered off the brunch menu. I got the vegan fried chicken Sammie with truffles fries , and it was delicious. Husband got the fried chicken, grits, and fried eggs. Three large pieces of chicken over grits that he said was very good. Our waitress was wonderful and helpful. Beautifully decorated restaurant with other buildings on the grounds. We walked around and saw the bakery, and went through the building with handmade items and home grown vegetables for sale, very nice set up. Next time we will go to the bakery for some treats and coffee and enjoy them in the sitting area under the trees

A relatively new restaurant in the lowcountry here in Beaufort, SC, only about 45 minute drive from downtown Savannah, Miss Daisy’s porch is a very low country styled and themed restaurant. The property itself is fantastic and design for entertaining and long stays on the property which also includes some vendor setup s outdoor television and other lounging amenities around the property. The overall dining experience was great. Three adults with drinks and appetizers and meal cost us about $150. We had the brunch menu and decided on the grilled lamb, fried chicken and the oxtai shrimp and grits. Portion sizes are VERY” low country.” There was a lot of food! Everything was delicious. All of the proteins were cooked perfectly. Clearly the executive chef was very ambitious with this menu. Specifically, that oxtail shrimp and grits dish included a rich oxtail gravy in addition to a shrimp gravy / sauce over the bed of grits. The dish really could have done with only one of those gravies. The shrimp gravy and the oxtail gravy were not very complementary it was almost like having two separate dishes but I get it. So it’s not really a complaint. Who really complains about too much gravy! Lol! The only somewhat negative thing that I could think of during our experience was the fact that upstairs they could not control the ceiling fans. They were fairly booked up with large parties so we couldn’t be moved and no one could turn them off. Other than that it was a good experience . I’ll be back for the music and other entertainment soon!

Beautiful chill spot in Old Town Bluffton the hostess was polite and welcoming our server Kennedy was very attentive she knew the menu very well she helped make my husband and I choices very easy. My husband had the terkey wing plate which he enjoyed and I had the seafood pasta delicious, however our appetizer some wings was a little salty but easily over looked because of the ambiance and friendly staff. They also have a bakery at the back dont forget to visit to get your sweet treats.
