i ordered my food over uber eats. i apologize if anything i say comes off as rude. the presentation of the food was 10/10. the amount of food we get is awesome. everything smells good & is hot and fresh. collard greens 10/10!! perfect. corn bread wasn’t as sweet as i like but i was still good! 8/10. gravy and rice 0/10. it was just plain. i don’t even taste salt and pepper. horrible . the pork chop 0/10. im glad that you guys give us so much food but it’s pointless if the food is nasty. not all of it of course. the pork chop was so pink i gagged after realizing i already bit into it. and it was also as if y’all cooked it like 10 minutes then just took it out. no letting it sit in gravy or nothing. i feel bad for having to leave this review because last time i ordered everything was literally perfect. i will still order you guys collard green and red beans but that’s about it.

A real gem in terms of the quality of their food. Great portions and classic soul food. Reminds me a lot of the old praline connection. Very friendly staff. My only complaint is that their AC probably is not working very well and it was a little bit warm and stuffy in there.
I will definitely be coming back though. Everything I had was good and I’m looking forward to trying more things on the menu.

Moved here from Charlotte NC and I will say this soul food is the closest thing I have tasted here that reminds me of back home. Fried chicken was fries perfect! Season well and crispy like I like it! The yams were sweet and delicious and the potato salad was good as well! Mad I didn’t get anything else cause it was so good. I’m also thankful and grateful for them having very reasonable prices and high quality food! That’s hard to find in this economy! We will definitely be back to try more items.

I went in to get a small Mac and cheese and I tried to explain to the son that the portion was not the same side I received on yesterday. I was only trying to let him know if I am paying $4, then the portion side I received today was not the one I received on yesterday. He got so defensive and got an attitude. Learn how to talk to people when running a business. Then he on the front line blowing his noise. I waited almost 15 minutes for a lil side of Mac and cheese. It’s not what you say to people it’s how you say it. I always go there to get my elderly mom lunch when I’m off and my mom love their food. They was not busy at all, I was the only person in there and don’t know why I had to wait that long. So basically as long as you’re taking my money then it’s fine but as a customer I can call your restaurant to tell you about my food without you getting so defensive and raising your voice at me. He need customer service skills and to learn how to speak to him every day customers.

Came in for chitterlings and baby it did not disappoint!!! I came just in time I think they ran out right after my order so if you do have a craving for chitterlings on Thursdays make sure you get there earlier than later. Employees were also really nice the guy that took my order mad nice. I will definitely be back

Food Service and atmosphere is amazing everything is good here. The only problem I have with this restaurant is that they best sellers sells out within the hour of opening. Like your a restaurant, you should have/make enough for your customers to buy throughout the day. I hate coming on Thursdays on my lunch break at 12 and can’t even get what I wanted because it’s sold out and they just opened at 11.

Food was horrible ! I’m done supporting certain businesses! How hard is it to make edible food. Yams and corn was amazing nice hot and pipping! I would eat those yams everyday if I could. HOWEVER! The meat sauce &nsphegatti was horrible tasted like it came straight out of a can the worst part was it was cold and watery and the meatballs both were raw and undercooked in the inside. Me and my toddler couldn’t eat. Uber eats didn’t even want give me my money back for food that was raw and that I couldn’t eat. When I say I’m so done. Trying new restaurants. Trying to support my black businesses . Take it from me with anything in life if you have a bad first experience never experience it AGAIN. Two stars only for the yams
