We ate at the M Bistro for dinner and breakfast, and weren’t particularly blown away. If you’re staying at the hotel, it works, but it is in no way a restaurant you should go out of your way to try when in New Orleans; there are far better options. Skip this one if you aren’t staying at the hotel, or if you’d like a memorable experience and top-notch food.
The ambience is lovely at dinner, everything is dimmed, and a small lamp is placed on each table to give the restaurant a more intimate vibe. The service was friendly and attentive. This is a fine dining restaurant, so expect premium prices. You are gently encouraged to dress a little bit nicer than daily wear, but not quite formal wear. I had the Salmon, it was just ok. The oysters are tiny, but good. The wedge salad and its house dressing were delicious. It was my birthday when staying here, so they brought out a nice treat, a strawberry bread pudding, which was very appreciated, and the best thing I had that evening.
Breakfast was better; it’s usually a buffet, but the hotel was at low occupancy when we were there, so no buffet. I had a yogurt parfait, a side of breakfast potatoes, and a glass of pineapple juice. The parfait was extremely good, and the breakfast potatoes were perfectly seasoned and were a very big portion, far bigger than a normal side size. The pineapple juice was good, but it wasn’t that cold when served. The NOLA breakfast (eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes) was also good; everything was cooked well, and again was all great portions. I wish I could remember our waitress’s name, as she was extremely kind and was a great start to our day. She was very attentive and a pleasure to talk to.
It’s a fine restaurant and the food is still good, but it doesn’t match the price tag. It’s just an average, skippable experience.

What a treat to have this wonderful restaurant attached to our hotel. We are staying at the Marriott French Quarter and this restaurant is in the Ritz Carlton. It offers room service to Marriott customers which was fantastic yesterday. Today we went to the restaurant and was taken care of by Pamela. She was amazing, friendly and full of life. From the moment we walked in the people were friendly and the food was out of this world great looking forward to another meal here and will request Pamela if she is working.

Located on the third floor of the Ritz Carlton, this restaurant has a great menu of classic Louisiana fare served in a classy setting. Immediately adjacent to the Davenport Lounge, the space has a large skylight which brightens up the room to supplement the three chandeliers. For breakfast, I had the crawfish creole omelette and it was superb. Staff is super friendly and would highly recommend.

We stopped here as most local restaurants were full, and yes, it’s the Ritz, so you can’t go wrong. So good!

Oysters Rockefeller were yum! Seriously good. The scallops over risotto were fantastic. I’m super happy with our entire experience. Highly recommend.

Great environment for meetings, quiet brunch, lunch, dinner… atmosphere is great. Staff all super friendly. Byron was a great bartender, very knowledgeable about all the food and drinks. My wife and i came down to new Orleans for our anniversary and was trying to find a perfect dinner spot to suprise her. I came across a few and reserved but then cancelled when i found M bistro. It had really good reviews so i knew it would be a perfect choice. When we arrived they were so nice and polite and gave us a booth thagmt felt more like a personal small room it was perfect. Our server was very nice and wish us a happy anniversary. The food was so good and the waitress brought us some beinets with Happy Anniversary written with chocolate. We were amazed at this place and we will definitely return!
