So good! I live so close and have thought about trying this restaurant for years probably. Today my daughter and I finally tried it and brought food home for the rest of the family. We’ll definitely be going back and the rest of the family wants to join us next time.

Went for the prime rib special, food was good but the server made a mistake and tried to blame us so they wouldn’t have to make it right. Service has gone way downhill. I doubt we will go back.

My fiance and I just finished having lunch here. I had the all day breakfast, the home fries with sausage gravy on them, eggs, tavern ham, and mountaineer bread were all delicious!! She had the BLT with a egg on it and said it’s one of the best ones she’s ever had. Plus she loved her onion rings… $28 for everything, which I thought was pretty darn reasonable. Waitress was super nice and attentive. Will definitely make another trip back up to it to try something different one day!

We had a great breakfast. The only thing I disliked was paying more money for the mountaineer bread. The breakfast came with bread so I don’t understand why we paid extra for the other. Plus our waitress didn’t tell us it was more.

Very tasty homemade food, super friendly staff, and views of planes landing and taking off. We will be going back (for the affordable specials, we will probably visit weekly)…I took a piece of peanut butter pie home and it will be dessert for the next 3 evenings! Oh, and park in either lot. Parking is free when at the restaurant.

My wife and I both got coffee and water with our meals….2.95 for a cup of coffee and 2.95 for a glass of water….drinks totaled 11.80 …. will NOT be going back here to eat.

Defender Fabrication
A lot of people like this place and say the food is good. By no means do I think it’s bad but it’s not as great as some say. I think it’s mostly popular with the older folks. They have good homemade pies but I think they make too many different kinds and you may get one that has been sitting for a couple days. I think they should just have a couple different kinds and when one type is gone then make a different kind before going back to the others.
