It is a fun place for groups and individuals. The owners are friendly and very approachable. The staff is second to none. A Lyle’s you walk in a Stranger but walk out as family. The “regulars” are great, too. Just sit back and be entertained by the stories they tell.

Love this hometown bar. Great great service. It’s like cheers. Everyone knows you and it’s just a great atmosphere all around. Good prices. The food is amazing. The drinks ice cold. The service is above and beyond. If I could give more then 5 stars I totally would. The walleye fish is great on fridays and very reasonable. The Mexican pizza on Tuesday is yummy. The wings are very good. lol the appetizers are great. They have fried chicken on one Sunday a month. It’s great as well. Highly highly recommend this bar.

The family goes here every year on same day for holiday. The food use to be good, not anymore. Serving size have decreased and quality is gone. I’ve gone here every year for the last 8 years and if I want a beer I have to wait at least 30 minutes for the bartender to look at me. And that’s with maybe 6 people seated at the bar.

Typical hometown dive bar, where the drinks are cheap and the food is ok. Really seedy inside, but 10+ years of smoking bans have removed most of the tobacco smell. It is a good place to go talk, shoot pool or play darts.

The 1 star is for the beer being cold I guess. Even though that’s not very hard to do. If you are not from Maryville or the surrounding areas and if you do not know someone that currently goes to this bar, don’t go. My wife and I walked in, everybody looked at us as if we were from another planet. It took forever to get served as well. It’s like a B Rated Horror version of the show Cheers. It’s a dive bar, so we should have expected this.

My husband and I visit Lyles alot. It’s very close to home and the bartenders and staff always make us feel welcomed. We like the upgrades that were made during quarantine and will definitely start frequenting it again soon.
