Lyle’s was such a vibe. We came for brunch and the DJ was on, mimosas were flowing, and the energy was great. The chicken and waffles and the short rib hash were both amazing.
We got the unlimited mimosas and they had about four different options, so you could mix it up and kind of make your own. The decor is super modern and really nice too. Definitely a fun brunch spot!

This place was great! I found about it because of the girl dinner that they offer at the bar and I couldn’t wait to bring my friends for a girls’ night out! It didn’t disappoint, it’s gorgeous inside, such a pretty vibe. We wanted a table so we weren’t able to do the girl dinner deal- but we made sure to get our Caesar salads, fries, and some drinks! I didn’t love the mocktail I ordered(it was watery) but the Caesar salad and fries were delicious! We also got the Brussels sprouts, which were incredible! The one drawback was that the meal was a bit pricey for what it was. While super yummy it’s hard to justify the overall cost- but I’d totally come back with one or two friends, eat at the bar and get the girl dinner deal to have a more affordable version of this super fun meal!

I came with my cousin and her friend on New Year’s Day for brunch. The short rib hash was very good. I like my food spicy so I asked for hot sauce which made it perfect! We were seated at a table that is half booth half chairs and the sofa in the booth is the most comfortable thing ever!! We were also able to see the food coming out of the kitchen and everything looked good! Even though we had brunch it wasn’t the weekend and our reservation was at 11 so the vibe was very calm, quiet, and chill. I hear they have a DJ brunch on the weekends so I’ll have to come back and check that out.

Great for photos/instagram and for young people who do not know class, quality food or good service. Music was inappropriate for the atmosphere. I got the salmon, drenched in salt, and it came with rice that looked and tasted microwaved.
The wait staff need to go through training on etiquette, common sense and knowledge. My waiter did not know the menu, I ordered a wine and he said “what” to me (2 times), the way an annoyed tween would say their parent. Asked me how my meal was mid bite—no sideline observation of customer. Made for a very uncomfortable moment for us both. They should monitor water glasses, refill when they’re low… I shouldn’t have to list how to run a nice restaurant but given how I saw other tables lacking in similar service, maybe there needs to be a reminder. I love the white cushion concept, but just because the restaurant is dark does not mean you can get away with the cushions being dirty and stained.
However, very accommodating to allergies and dietary restrictions. I appreciated this.

The ambiance of Lyle’s restaurant was so nice! It was upscale and nicely decorated however, it was also comfortable and casual at the same time. However, the tables were placed INCREDIBLY close to one another. It felt like I was a part of the party that was seated next to us because our tables were so close. Not even one foot a part. There were a few groups of 6-8 people so they can accommodate larger parties as well as small groups of 2-4. Aside from that, I really enjoyed the music from the DJ, although they ended pretty abruptly around 2:30 pm. The servers confused us a bit with the options for the bottomless mimosas but aside from that, they were knowledgable and attentive. The food was surprisingly good! When I first received my meal of eggs benedict, I was not enthusiastic at first because it looked very plain but the flavors were delicious and the portion was perfect for me. I also enjoyed my lavender margarita a lot. My friend really enjoyed her short rib hash as well and bottomless mimosas.

I had a wonderful experience thanks to our waiter, Akeil. His customer service was truly outstanding, he was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. Akeil went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and his warm personality added so much to our dining experience. Highly recommend asking for him if you visit!

Lyle’s- hands down – is the best vibe-y brunch in DC. It offers the best combination of quality food, solid service, classy atmosphere, bottomless drinks, lively ambiance and dope music. It’s a bit loud but not uncomfortably so. If you want a dainty brunch to bring grandma, this ain’t your spot- try Cafe Riggs instead.
The service is as good as you’re going to get in this kind of spot. It’s gets busy and demanding, and the servers work hard to keep up. Sometimes you might have to wait for that refill, but be patient with ’em. They’re nice and good at what they do.
I’ve been here many times and have tried the short rib hash (pictured), steak and eggs and chicken & waffles. Today, I went for the burger, and it did not disappoint. It was grilled perfectly and did not last very long. The curly seasoned fries were a throwback to the days of Checkers. Lol. (The banana bread – also pictured – was meh. I’d skip it.)
Most def put Lyle’s on the rotation for a weekend bottomless brunch!

The place is wonderful however the servers are always hurrying you to order and eat, they want to take the plates and bring the bill asap and is so annoying. Nothing professional from any of the three people who took care of my service. Bad costumer service by also interrupting me in a phone call and not taking the feedback, instead trying to excuse themselves saying I need to order. They need to wait, I ate but that was the only good of the experience.

The hostesses were so helpful figuring out our reservation issue. They sat us immediately despite the busy brunch hour. The service was quick and efficient. The food was so good! The Shakshuka and Steak and Eggs were both amazing (I especially loved that baby cilantro on the shakshuka)
Despite all of that, the brioche donut was still the highlight of the meal.
