First time here & I must say service was amazing!! Emma was our server & she was absolutely great!!! She was very kind, friendly & attentive!! Ryan was also great!! He came to our table 4 times to make sure we were enjoying our food, continuously poured our water & made sure we didn’t need anything else! The feeling felt genuine from both of them!!! Food & drinks were delicious!!

Was really looking forward to like this place as it was highly recommended by my friend who lives a stone throw away. Came here on a Saturday with my two teens without reservations. We were seated immediately but our server didn’t come by at least 15 mins later. The other tables that were seated after us got their water and ordered. Just when we were about to walk out the server swung by and took our orders. Food came out quickly. Menu was reasonably priced at a decent size portion. Taste wise, average. Ambiance; good. Go somewhere else if you want better service.

We got some bad news so drove to Chicago to try make it a good day. Let me tell you, I’m SO glad we decided to stop here!

The food was so good and the drinks were top notch, but what really made this place stand out was the service. The hostesses were so friendly, sweet, and accommodating, our server was so good, and a manager even stopped by to see how we were doing. Despite it being A VERY busy Saturday night, it didn’t feel like it thanks to the staff. They turned a bad day into an amazing evening

Oh, and if you get the snickers pie, bring like 12 friends. This thing is MASSIVE

We went to the LuxBar for restaurant week 2026 lunch. It was a wonderful lunch with good food, courteous and attentive staff, and pleasant atmosphere. As an added bonus, the LuxBar had several big screen TVs to watch the opening ceremony of the winter Olympics.

Awww, what a pleasant surprise—but not really a shock—Lux Bar delivers!

It’s Saturday, and my friend and I were just the right type of confident to think we could stroll into Lux Bar and snag a table. You’ve got to aim high, folks.

The host quoted a 45-minute to 1-hour wait or suggested grabbing a seat at the bar. We took our chances at the bar, settled in, and—no sooner than we made peace with that—ding! A text came through saying our table was ready. A+ for efficiency, Lux!

We decided to stay put and had the pleasure of meeting bartender extraordinaire Kyle, who took amazing care of us (and, yes, cute as a button!).

The menu? Fantastic. I went with the salmon and a side of broccoli, while my friend enjoyed the chili, house chips, and a salad. The food arrived quickly, piping hot, and absolutely delicious.

And, of course, I couldn’t skip dessert—the chocolate cake was everything! The espresso ice cream while yummy doesn’t agree with the tummy, but my friend happily handled that part.

A few glasses of wine, shots, and cocktails later, I’m back on my couch, smiling about a lovely Saturday in the greatest city—with a new favorite bar.

Cheers, Lux Bar—you’ve earned it! ✨

Lux Bar is the kind of place that instantly makes you feel like you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere sets the tone—dim lighting, sleek décor, and an effortlessly upscale energy that’s perfect for date nights, celebrations, or a refined night out with friends. It strikes that rare balance between stylish and comfortable, never feeling stuffy or overdone.

The food is truly impressive. Every dish is beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared, with bold flavors that feel elevated without being pretentious. You can tell real care goes into both quality and execution, making each plate memorable from the first bite to the last. Pair that with their drink menu, and you’re in for a treat. The cocktails are expertly crafted, balanced, and creative, while the wine and spirits selection offers something for every taste.

What really ties it all together is the service—attentive, knowledgeable, and smooth without being intrusive. Lux Bar delivers a full experience, not just a meal or a drink. It’s the kind of place you recommend confidently, knowing it will impress every time. Elegant, indulgent, and undeniably stylish, Lux Bar lives up to its name in every way. ✨

Ate at the bar and Kevin made it great. Extraordinary service. Espresso Martini and a Manhattan done right.
Brunch ordered steak and eggs and the order was split for two without asking. None of that extra plate and shove it yourself business!
Absolutely will go here next time I’m in Chicago.

Saturday 12/06/25 We walked into Lux Bar on a cold Chicago late morning with a party of eight, from the moment we entered, the host at the front set the tone for an incredible brunch.

He welcomed us with the most genuine, warm smile — the kind that instantly makes you feel taken care of. Even though the restaurant was busy, his communication was clear, calm, and extremely professional, and he graciously accommodated our group.

What stood out most was watching him continue to treat every guest with the same kindness, polish, and attentiveness. He is sharp, welcoming, and brought such positive energy to the room.

The food and service were excellent, but this host truly elevated the entire experience. A standout first impression and a true asset to Lux Bar.

LUXBAR is one of my top favorite restaurants in Chicago. I’ve been coming here regularly since I moved to Chicago years ago, and LUXBAR and has truly helped me make Chicago feel like home.

The staff has been there for years – which is just a true testament of how great the restaurant is in general.

Ryan is amazing and is THE example of what a restaurant GM should be.

The bartenders are also amazing at what they do. They are seasoned, knowledgeable and talented.

Don’t take it from me though, even my best friends think of it as home–they hosted their engagement party there.

FOOD ALLERGY ALLY! I have a VERY limited diet due to many food allergies. LUXBAR has been generous and accommodating since the first time I stepped foot in the bar. They’re extremely conscientious about avoiding cross-contamination. And, in one instance, Ryan, the general manager, even ran out to my table when my plate came out to replace the dish because of an ingredient he wasn’t sure about for me.

Everything on the menu (per my friend’s testimonials) is amazing.

My go-tos are the Cobb salad, filet minion, hummus plate and the club. It doesn’t stop there though: my friends love the truffle fries, cookie skillet, and tuna tacos.

We had a brunch here and the food was delicious! The customer service was great—our waiter was friendly and attentive. However, the wait for the food was quite long. One person in our group ordered the onion soup and finished it well before the rest of our meals arrived. The virgin mojito was just okay. Overall, a good experience thanks to the tasty food and great service, but the long wait time was a downside.
