Went today for the first time and was very happy with my meal.
I had the Rio Burger and the meat was just right, juicy, some crust to it and salted. The fries are shoesting ones, but nice and crunchy and salted, maybe with garlic salt?? Regardless, there was a lot of flavor in them. The cheese on the burger was nice and gooey and added that velvet like texture that you want in a good burger.
We also got a grilled cheese, it was gooey and very flavorful.
I will be back for sure to see what else is good on the menu.
My one suggestion, empty the garbage cans more, the one by the door was full as was in the bathroom.
I remember back when this used to be a Majik Market, then various things like a PC Metro then the uh…well…It is really nice to see that something good is there now.

This family run business is a little gem. The food was fantastic! We had the chicken salad sandwich, burgers and also clam chowder. Coffee was also amazing. Highly recommend it! Will be back!

Trying this new place out.
1. Had for fight for a parking spot. It was pretty busy at lunch time on a Saturday so if you’re someone who is meeting a larger group here there or handicapped there may not be enough parking to accommodate even with being able to park at the Latin market next door.
2. Cute and clean inside. Diner style where the cooks are in front of you. I think there’s enough seating to go around.
3. Food: smaller menu. They stick to the basics. There’s no “kids” menu per say. Soft drinks are in a can so I wouldn’t expect any refills. Got the chicken salad sandwich which was tasty and the fries are good. Didn’t try the coffee because in my opinion it wasn’t worth the price.
Prices: a smidge over priced. For a $9 bowl of soup I was hoping it would have come with a piece of baguette or bread, oyster crackers, chips. Anything!?
Did taste homemade though.

I can’t wait to try the food! I can see so much care and love went into the making of this place! The wood interior is beautiful! Very welcoming atmosphere with picnic tables and a locking gate, if you have little ones. Friendly folks! Very vintage feel with old license plates decor. The little lights above the doorway are inviting! A great opportunity if you’re a crafter as their little country Store is in its infancy stages!

Part #2 Update, They are now open! I will say I was very disappointed today when I got here at 3:15 and apparently their kitchen closes for the day at 3:00 p.m.. this definitely needs to be advertised well and clearly somewhere. Online and on Google maps and other places because it’s very misleading seeing that this place is open till 9:00 p.m. And looking at the menu but never saw anywhere that all of their main food is closed by 3:00 p.m. inside is really cute. It has all the great vibes of cracker barrel with its own twist. So far they’ve done a great job and I look forward to having the opportunity to eat here sometime.
I’m posting this review a little early because l’m so excited! As a Lutz local born and raised, I’m actually a bit annoyed that a beautiful spot like this is opening now that don’t live right down the road. I’ve been telling all my friends about it and wanted to share some photos to help spread the word. You can really tell by the quality of the design and the care put into the building that this place is going to be amazing. I’m looking forward to the grand opening!

Amazing coffee!! Some of the best we’ve had from a local spot. I got the iced latte with brown sugar & my husband got the americano. We brought our 3 kids and they had coloring and water cups for them. Family friendly spot with a great atmosphere. They even have a shelf for vendors and unique items for sale. Just what we needed here in Lutz! We will be coming here again soon!

So happy to have this place opened! I would give them a 10, if possible for atmosphere! They did ann awesome job renovating this space! I encourage everyone to give it a try! We went there for breakfast, and enjoyed the egg kissed taco wrapped in fried cheese. These are unique and worth trying. Sadly, they only offer apple wood bacon inside. Really hope they eventually add ham, sausage, or even turkey sausage as an option some day. Also ordered a cappuccino, which was good, but ordering in, we expected it to be served in something other than a paper cup, since cups and saucers were stacked on shelves along the wall. No oatmeal or sides like hash browns were available . Bakery items were available, but we’re limited when we were there and didn’t appear fresh but we didn’t actually try them. Lunch menu appears to be a lot more extensive. We hope to try it soon.

Parking at the business is minimal but there is overflow next door and across the street at the dog park. Great food and atmosphere, not overcrowded. Seats approximately 50 people, half indoor and half outdoor. A visit is worth any parking hassle and this is a great local find!

Wow. This is exactly what Lutz needed.
This cafe really embodies the spirit of Lutz. They did an amazing job of paying homage to this historic town, while simultaneously creating a fresh and upbeat atmosphere. Gorgeous outdoor seating or open window indoor seating, hand crafted art and gifts ALL locally made, locally roasted espresso and coffee, and amazing breakfast and lunch options from Chef Anthony.
The food was delicious (I mean French onion soup and beef tallow French fries, cmon!!!). All served with a smile in a fun atmosphere.
This cafe is exactly what Lutz needed. As someone born and raised in Lutz, this cafe gives me hope—not that we will change the Lutz we love, but that we will allow our wonderful town to shine, through local gems like The Lutz Country Store and Cafe.
