I’m pretty underwhelmed by the experience. When I saw Michelin Bib Gourmand, I had really high expectations. My baseline is Din Tai Fung and I found this place fall short in many ways. I ordered a bean curd side dish and it was very bland. I also ordered regular steamed dumplings (not pictured) and it didn’t wow me in any ways. I think this place is good if you’ve never tried Din Tai Fung or never had dumplings abroad (think Ba Fang dumplings). But I think it’s authentic, meaning that it is historically accurate while Din Tai Fung is engineered excellence.

We came here to try their dumplings since we heard someone said it is similar to oneone dumplings which is our favorite place but is now closed. We were kinda disappointed. Everything just tasted average. The hot dumplings came out in black plastic container which is just unhealthy. You order on your phone via a QR code and the tips is asked for in advance of your meal.

A great dumpling spot that is casual and comfortable. The dumplings are just like homemade and super satisfying. The sauces that are on each table are perfect for dipping the dumplings in, and add so much delicious flavor without being too spicy. The dumplings are a good size and very juicy and filling. The interior is quite small and most people do takeout. Everything is disposable and easy to clean up.

Really want to find a good dumpling to replace one one dumpling since it’s close. Found on Reddit this place is somehow related. To my disappointment this place is just “ok”. The pan fried pork dumpling is not crispy as it was shown in picture. Other dishes were just average or below average at the best. Avoid the popcorn chicken. Overall meh.

Way overpriced for a. Counter order. I’d prefer to drive to Monterey Park or Alhambra for authentic dim sum at half the price. West side people just don’t get it, they even think Mr Chow is good. It’s truly sad we can’t get authentic Chinese food at a reasonable price in Beverly Hills.

Food: the dumplings are amazing! With their house chili sauces, the flavors of the soup in the dumplings and the fillings are elevated to another level ✨✨✨ 100% recommended if you’re looking for delicious dumplings!

Service: it’s all digitalized with scanning the QR code. You’re asked to pay right after you completed your order.

Ambiance: it’s a small and simple place that gets pretty busy during meal time. Casual, fast dining needs can be fulfilled.

I have been a regular customer until now. Ordered take out and my order was missing an item. I called the store and the store manager pretty much refused to talk to me and had the server just relay that they can give credit for next time. But refused to refund what they did not provide and argued that item was given. I think you can do the math an order of 4 noodles and a spicy wonton will lead to 9 large containers total. These items would not fit into 2 bags. I will be expecting a refund or will be claiming my credit card. Today they will loose a customer. Michelin rating of 2022 and 2021 the store customer service might as well be equal to that of a fast food joint.

We tried the stewed tofu, grilled pork dumplings and beef tendon noodle. All dishes tasted very good and would’ve warranted a 4-star except that the grilled dumplings were nothing like the picture on the menu where the dumplings were grilled crispy to all sides (as grilled dumplings should be). The home made hot sauce was good, but not very spicy. The service was decent, but this place uses only disposable dinnerware, which obviously was not great for our environment.

Okay, not too bad. My pork belly was tasty but had a lot of fat. The broth could use more flavors.

The Angus beef stew was delicious. The beef was super juicy. The broth was gingery and perfect. The vegan dumplings were amazing. Taste like meat was inside but I guess it was mushrooms. I would definitely come back for these two things 5/5 stars for these

The scallion pancakes were tasty but they were so oily. I mean I could literally squeeze them and have a hand full of oil. I’ve never had them so im not sure if that’s how they are supposed to be, but man I’ve never seen so much oil in food in my life. It really ruined the whole experience. The rice was just regular old rice. It cost 4 dollars become it was “ fancy “ but wasn’t fancy at all. It was hard like it wasn’t cooked all the way or it was old. It definitely wasn’t washed 5X and it definitely wasn’t fluffy. These two things gets a 2/5 stars.

Over all I liked this place would definitely come back but not for the rice and scallion pancakes.
