We recently had the pleasure of dining at Lure Lake Bar, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and comfortable, making it an easy place to settle in and enjoy the evening.
The food was truly exceptional. Every dish we ordered was fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. It’s clear that care and attention go into the kitchen, and the quality really shows. Portions were generous without being overdone, and everything arrived hot and exactly as ordered. It’s the kind of food that keeps you talking about the meal long after you’ve left.

Went a little stray from the usual choices and tied the Adobo Chicken. Chorizo cream cheese mozzarella stuffed fried chicken on a bed of fancy rice. Good meal! The wife’s Fish & Chips were really good as well.

For a nice place like this one. I was disappointed with the half pound shrimp. They should be using 16/20 count.. my perceived value was not met. The oysters could be larger but was delicious. Atmosphere is first rate. Abbi our server attentive and knowledgeable. Abbi got a table of 20 and got in the weeds and her existing tables lacked an attentive server. Thank goodness Lilly came in from in back to assist her with her tables. And we enjoyed the rest of our supper. . As in all it was a great meal. We come in often and will continue to do so.

Two of us loved our dinners. My shrimp boil and the walleye dinner were so good. The soups were ok. The clam chowder was a tad watery. The seafood bowl was lacking seafood. The waitress was wonderful and prompt. We always love the atmosphere outdoors and by the lake. We love this place and would still come back again. We all agree we would all order the wallet dinner next time.

We enjoyed everything. We had: crab cakes, calamari, fish and chips, cobb salad, walleye sandwich, etc. Staff were friendly. Would be a great summer spot to check out as they have outdoor seating that overlooks the water.

Had lunch at Lure while in Alexandria for a visit. Nice location with views of a lake where you can sit either inside or at outdoor patio. Inside is very open and modern looking. Bar in middle of restaurant is surrounded by a number of flat screen TVs to watch various sporting events. We started things off with the tater totchos which everyone enjoyed. Combination of tots drizzled with queso and topped with bacon, onion and jalapenos. Definitely a little kick to start off the meal. We then had entrees ranging from fish and chips to the Buoy burger to the foot long Le Homme hot dog. Six walleye fingers with the fish and chips which were very good. For the Buoy burger it was your basic quarter pounder with cheese, lettuce, tomato and onions that was very tasty and filling. Finally the Le Homme dog was every bit of a grilled beef hot dog on a very large bun topped with chilli, home made mustard sauce, caramelized onions, cheese, bacon and peppers. According to our host he really liked the flavor and obviously the portion. His toughest task was to find a way to tackle eating this gigantic hot dog. All meals came with home made fries that were about the same as most places that have fries. Nothing overwhelming but complimentary to the entrees. Would recommend trying out Lure when up in the Alexandria area during your trip up to the lakes.
