The food and service was amazing! I love the yellowtail roll and the guns and roses roll. I ordered the gluten free guns and roses but it still had rice in it. The roll was delicious regardless! The drinks were ok. Additionally, the service was very attentive. I will definitely be back soon!

I have loved Kotta in the past but the recent few times we have gotten to-go orders they have been disappointing to say the least. Today we ordered 2 rolls and a squid salad. One of the rolls we received today was not what we ordered. Please don’t even get me started on the squid salad. $9 for 2 bites. I have dined in as well as placed takeout orders for years here and their squid salad portioning has gone way down. Please look at the pictures below and consider sizing your to-go portion the SAME as what it is when you dine in…the host was very kind and made sure we had extra sauces and silverware but i definitely should’ve checked the boxes before leaving!!!

Today was our first time to Kotta, and we loved it. We were grateful for the dog-friendly patio. The fish was of extremely high quality! (in a town that is not necessarily known for this). And our waitress Lila was delightful—-we will definitely be back!

Both the food and seafood were fresh and delicious. There was no tuna odoro on the menu, so I asked the staff and they responded kindly to me. I will definitely visit again next time.

I have been enjoying Kotta’s food for several years now. It has always been very delicious experience. However I can say service was better before. There are so many different amazing sushi rolls at the menu. At the weekends I suggest you to make reservations before going.

The meal started off on a bad note when we ordered the shelby dumplings panfried and they came out cold, we asked them for hot ones and they gave us back the same plate… the dumplings had lost any bits of crispness because they were clearly microwaved. Not really what you would expect when you’re spending $100 on a Wednesday in a 1/3rd full restaurant.

Great food. Nice atmosphere but tables are a little tight. Be sure to make reservations so you dont have to wait. Parking on the weekends is a bit hard to come by. We spent over 15 minutes trying to find parking on a friday night….busy area.

My wife and I made a reservation at 8:30 on a Sunday for our one year anniversary, through their reservation app. They seated us at 8:33, then a minute later, what I’m assuming was the manager came up and said that they were closing and we couldn’t eat there. Then he proceeded to tell me that it was “almost 9, when they were closing” at 8:36. Incredibly unprofessional, especially following seating us and us planning our night around this reservation. Will not be coming back and would highly recommend you steer clear. Denton has a great sushi place called Blue Ginger and Below 40 Poke in Carrollton is great as well, both places run by good, honest people. Would highly recommend these over this establishment.
