Go there for lunch and dinner. Even if busy during the week food is great. Try to avoid going there on the weekends. They have a different person working on the weekend from the week. Recommend to go during the week then the weekend. Food is always fresh and good flavor. I have never been disappointed with their food. Got to meet owner a few time and he is friendly always talkative.

First time here and never going back. Ordered Birria De Res to go. Get all the way home and no consome. Drive all the way back and give them the food back and ask for a refund as it is now cold. They inform me if I want consome I specifically have to ask for it and looked at me like I am crazy. Never had this happen before and I get Birria all the time. So back home with two cold very dry tacos I can’t eat. Don’t go here. They don’t care.

I wanted a taco combo but they didnt have one so I ordered a carne asada combo. The meat was nerves and fat. So dissappointing. I never received my salsa. Rice and Beans were ok.

I really enjoyed the food the 3 times I’ve visited. It was very tasty. I will be back. I tried the carne asada, the enchiladas, and carnitas. All were delicious. The love that they still do the grilled jalapeños and onions, no one does this anymore. It’s worth a try if you are in the area and craving mexican cuisine.

Should’ve made a review earlier. Been coming since my first year stationed in California. I’m now on my last leg of my contract, and from start to finish, this place has been amazing. The food, service, environment, all of it totals out to an amazing restaurant, with amazing workers. Totally might fly back to California once I leave just to eat here.

I slipped in front of a couple and child in its stroller. They kindly let me go, and I said “Thanks, but I got here first.” I’m kidding. I’ve had pretty good luck with Oxnard restaurants, Pho, Mexican, tacos, it’s almost like paradise. The wet burrito with green sauce chose me. Not sure how long it takes to make one of those, but Iwas starting to worry. She handed my order to me with a smile, but it was so hot and delicious looking I decided to have my meal right there on the table. It shoved aside the tapatio sauce and said “you won’t be needing that.” I told it you’re junk food, you’re carbs and calories and I’ll get fat. It whispered back “it’s worth it. You’re worth it.” Finished every bite. But seriously, great cooking and experience.

My family keeps giving this place another chance because sometimes, just sometimes, the food is great. No more… never again. Each one of us has had several bad experiences at ‘Lupita’s’. We’ve gotten burnt food, completely wrong orders, bad customer service (many, many times) Most recently my order was wrong and the chilaquiles were just chips with salsa dumped on top, egg not the way i ordered, missing the meat i ordered and had beans and rice which i specifically said not to include. When i took it back the lady blamed the cook even though someone should be checking orders like at any other competent restaurant. I was cool but the lady acted bothered and offered me a refund to get rid of me instead of offering to make it right. Sometimes, you’ll walk into their empty place they ignore you like a leaf that blew in with the wind. Don’t waste your time and money at ‘Lupita’s’.

First time visiting this place. Their tacos are really good and surprisingly the asada tacos were the best. I ordered the guacamole and chips, the guacamole was good but the chips were fried in some old oil, they tasted and smelled nasty. Other than that the food was great.

Wow, the carne asado taco was incredible. I added a little lemon juice and green salsa on top and it was mouthwatering yum! I’ve never had a taco taste so good. I came in visiting from another town. I wish this place was near my house. The guys working here are super nice and friendly as well.

Prices medium. I can’t eat cilantro. I’m one of those rare people it tastes like soap .. ruins Mexican food for me if they don’t take me seriously. THIS LADY WORKING HERE WENT OUT OF HER WAY TO MAKE FRESH… AND I MEAN TO THE SECOND… FRESH GUACOMOLE FOR ME. I had chilaquiles green and they were excellent. Service was super fast and we were not ignored. Would recommend in a heartbeat. Enjoy!
