Lupitas has such great reviews and we were meeting friends from the east. Thought the breakfast buffet would be a good idea to get food right away so we could spend more time talking with old friends. While it was ok I thought it would be better from what others said. So if you like to just eat a lot I guess you’d like it. Hashbrown casserole was mentioned but nothing seemed like hashbrown casserole. Just plain hashbrowns and then some mixed with some meat and spicy peppers and maybe some eggs that had hashbrowns in them with cheese. I think of a hashbrown casserole more like what Cracker Barrel has but it isn’t as good as it used to be. There were plain scrambled eggs and some with cheese and a little meat. But they were already cold by the time I sat down. There was ham, link sausages and bacon that were pretty good and not too salty. The French toast was dry but the waffle quarters were actually pretty good. But surprisingly what I liked the best was the cream of broccoli soup, yes on the breakfast buffet ♀️. I’m more of a person who wants less that tastes good. So if you are an all you can eat kind you’d love it. If I come back since I drive a ways to meet my friends I’d like to try some of their Mexican dishes. I’d go again for lunch if I lived closer. The server was ok. Not really friendly. The place was packed and there is no handicapped parking that I could see.

Food was excellent, breakfast buffet from 8-10 is really reasonably priced. Service is wonderful and the atmosphere is friendly. I had a half omelette and it was huge. If you leave hungry it’s your own fault! A little chilly but it was early and still not a lot of people.

I just had the best French toast of my life.. the banana Nutella French toast was hands down the best morning food I’ve ate in many years. Holy moly was it top tier.

Based on the reviews, I thought that we would give it a try. We got a table, but they were SLAMMED (we went for Sunday lunch); we had to wait a while to get service. I asked our server what she recommended, and she said, “You can’t go wrong with our burgers,” so I ordered accordingly. The tortilla soup was pretty good (about the same as what I make from a kit), but the burger was terrible. It tasted like it was a frozen patty cooked on a griddle that hadn’t been cleaned in a while. My kids liked their food, but I could only stomach a few bites of the burger. The server never checked on us. When she returned with our check she asked if I wanted a box. I shared that it really wasn’t that good and I had no intention of finishing it. She shrugged and said, “Okay.” I am glad that others had great experiences, but we will not be returning.

We visited here on our way back from Springfield, Illinois to Kentucky. This restaurant has a ton of options. The portions are big. The food is hot and it was good! Plenty to enjoy for kids and adults alike. We will definitely come by here again the next time we’re out of town.

Very good food, reasonable prices. Had the walleye, it came out dangerously hot fresh from the fryer. The mashed potatoes were home made as was the cole slaw. I’m assuming they serve breakfast all day so next time I’m there I’ll try a breakfast item.
