I was working in the area and Lupitas came up and had great reviews which enticed me to try her out. As a serviceman constantly eating fast food Lupitas was a GREAT change. The food was insanely good. The flavors were intense and delicious (and addicting) as I pounded 3 Queso Sonoran dogs and 5 stuffed peppers. 1000/10. I don’t live near this area but I WILL be coming back

STILL A SOILD 5 OUT OF 5
Updated 01/19/2026
The food here is amazing, the best hot dogs in town in my opinion been coming back for over 5 years nows and never fails to be constantly amazing!! Easy 5 out of 5 stars for some of the best hot dogs in tucson at amazing prices and worth it. Also makes other foods that are good to amazing as well but the Sonoran dogs have got me hooked as as they are!
Price is affordable
Atmosphere is fun and
And Luputa herself is awesome with her customers!
A real hidden Gem as most people will say!

Perfect place to stop when going to or from the airport!
Finding Lupita’s took a slight amount of effort to find being a mobile spot, but they were within sight of where Google Maps showed. The menu is pretty short, but no shortage of something for everyone to enjoy. One of the best parts… Sonoran hot dogs are a mere $3 each. There’s a small “counter” attached to the stake pockets of the truck for a place to eat, extremely functional with no frills. Buns were pillow soft and the flavor was perfect.

Had a special treat of excellent tasty food at Lupita’s today. One of our favorite food discoveries here in Tucson – authentic fare prepared heartily with love and served curb-side; no fuss or thrills – just genuine food!

Legit, the only bad thing about Lupita is that she runs out of hot dogs and that it’s too dang hot in the summer to want to stand outside. The dogs are always delicious, everything is made fresh, and Lupita is super nice and friendly.
Me and the work crew try and visit her at least once a week.

I was passing through town and looking for good eats in the area. I had to stop here because it was close by, had 5 stars, and I’ve never had a Sonoran hot dog.
Biting into it, I was amazed by how soft the bun was. It was delicious. I would really give it a 3.5 because I prefer a more charred hot dog, but that’s a personal preference.
Lupita also wasn’t very welcoming at first and seemed busy doing something, but otherwise, her service was good, and she seemed very sweet.

We came from Flagstaff, Arizona to eat at Lupita’s Dogs. Omg omg, the best Sonora hot dogs I ever had. I ate a hot Cheeto Crumble on Sonora dog and it was delicious. I highly recommend it!

Hands down, absolutely, the Best Sonoran Hotdogs in Tucson! A warm bun cradles a bacon wrapped hotdog with just the right amount of snap and I recommend all the toppings. Also, don’t forget the bacon wrapped chile! Definitely worth the trip! Be sure to go early or she may run out of food.

Hard to beat the loaded Sonoran dog, bacon wrapped pepper, and an ice cold Coke. The beans on the dog were really good. Super tasty and amazing for the price.
