Best pizza I have ever had! The crust was absolutely delicious and had the best crunch, the dough wasn’t doughy at all and was so, so delicious. You can tell they’re using very high quality, fresh ingredients and the flavor profiles he built for these pizzas are so good! The wowie sauce added even more flavor and somehow made a perfect pizza even better!
The ordering process may be slightly unconventional but it is EXTREMELY SIMPLE. You’re literally given step by step instructions on how to order and it couldn’t be easier.
My Mom picked up our order and couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful her experience was and how much she enjoyed the owner.
Super stoked we found this place and absolutely can’t wait to go back!

Lunitas is one them. This is a “take out only” place and the menu is predetermined, no messing around trying to pick and choose how you like it.
There’s the menu, you order, simple. But if you like somewhat deep dish, Detroit styled pizza you’ll love this place.
It’s a little unconventional when it comes to ordering, you text your order, get confirmation back and you pick up at the time they provide.

We ordered the Red Five and it was delicious. Detroit style, buttery, burnt cheese crust (reminds me of Pequods crust in Chicago), flavorful. Had to text to order and no where to dine in, pick up only. Overall great pizza.

There is a reason there is 5 stars on Yelp! (Which is basically unheard of) If you’re reading reviews trying to decide if you want to try Lunita’s, DO IT! We drove 98 miles exactly one way & every second is worth it! I can not say enough great things about this! So even if you’re making the drive, order NOW!
We found out about this pizza from a friend who found out from a friend and so on.. and they were right. Danny changed the pizza game for us FOREVER!
The crust is PERFECT, the ingredients are all amazing, you can tell each one is made with love and it’s not some pizza thrown together just to make a buck. If the cheesecake is available snag one. It’s out of this world! If you have any left for the next day it is still just as amazing! And the hot honey.. AHHHMYGAH

I’m pretty sure our pizza was still sizzling We took the pie over to Dana Point Harbor and enjoyed our evening. Makes for a great little adventure. (Especially with kiddos)
Danny is super nice! You can tell he appreciates everyone who comes in. It’s awesome knowing you text him, he makes your pizza and you pick it up from him. It’s a different experience from what we have in the world normally today and I appreciate that so much! Super efficient & great service. We are absolutely fans now and I see lots of Lunita’s in our future

Best pizza in the area. Danny the owner is a very friendly guy that tries to get to know everyone that orders pizzas from him. Never had any problem ordering via text, they’re always very prompt and flexible. 10/10 must try pizza.

First visit, I give it 5 stars, only because the pepperoni pizza was excellent. Both cup and sliced pepperoni was used. Very thick and bready with a crispy edge. Yum !
A couple of things to note.
Pickup orders are done by text message only.
All pizzas are one size only, mine was $30, 8 slices.
Pickup is at the takeout section of El Maguey restaurant, but the door to the takeout is signed as “Restrooms” ! Confusing !
